This man is not particularly dangerous at anything. Pretty much just a safe fighting, jack-of-all trades kind of guy. Sure he can play it safe against a very aggressive RDA, but that is dependent on how aggressive his opponents are. Any guy in the top 10 can decide to play it safe and fight Alvarez in a safe manner will outpoint him simply because his striking is not refined. It's only when fighters realize he is a boring fighter and play it safe all day, and are forced to go aggressive to appease the fan, only then will he start to trade.

RDA, Pettis, and Melendez would all easily beat him in a rematch. This guy is a very average fighter.

This. Not as a fighter but respective to his division. Jacare, Romero, and Weidman would all be favored to beat him. Rockhold would be the favorite in a third fight.
 
Agreed.

Hats off to RDA because he won the belt and didn't play it safe like most champs do. But make no mistake his recklessness is the only reason Alvarez is the champ.

Wild looping rock'em sock'em fighting. Flip a coin and Alvarez won it.
 
Bisping is actually the strongest fighter in post-USADA era.

This guy is looking invincible right now. He is the STRONGEST UFC champion. Recently beat A.Silva, and then knocked out Luke Rockhold on 2 weeks notice.
 
Someone is not familiar with Eddie's career. His fights in the UFC do not paint the whole picture.

Bisping is the weakest champ.

Most ppl thought Hobbie lost 2 of his last 3 as well.

LW seems less dominant relative to the division since its the deepest and the #15-20 guy is better than top 10 guys in other divisions.

Eddie is a better fighter than any champ besides Demetrious, Dom, Aldo and Hobbie.
 
RDA is still better than him but LoL at calling Eddie a weak champ.

I have watched his fights with Michael chandler. Pretty much a "all about fundamentals" kind of fighter. There is no feeling of danger when watching an Alvarez fight.
