What the hell is a economical Connor anyway. The guy made a living on his power left hands and flurries to make opponents fold. If he stopped power punching what else he does he have left against Nate who excels at longer fights and throws way more punches.

McGregor doesn't utitlize leg kicks and takedowns which are known to be formulas to beat Nate in the past. No matter how much energy he conserved Nate would still out cardio him and out volume him in a 5 round fight. Being economical is not within McGregor's style, this is just a way of trying to justify his loss.

Didn't he always say Precision Beats Power, well that's what happened last night, his power punches were glancing shots that landed at the end of the punch while Nate's punches landed flush and stunned him every time it landed clean.

Last night have shown clearly that McGregor have one style and when that style gets countered he doesn't have the Wrestling, Muay Thai and BJJ to fall back on. I think people should stop claiming GOAT status on one dimensional fighters, because sooner or later they will fight someone who will expose their lack of diversity. There is a reason why GSP and Jones are great, they embrace every part of MMA.

guy got single legged by nate. problem is that connor has only one skillset (striking) and one gameplan ( standing), when that doesn't work he had nowhere to go - his panic wrestling showed that pretty much. Nate comes in with 4 backup plans. this is MMA , alot of top guys like melvin manhoef got subbed by opponents who have mediocre striking. Matter in fact maia is about grapplefucking about everyone.

If you dont have versatily you lose. RDA would have destroyed connor at any shape.

We only have room for one economical fighter in the ufc, his name is Alistair

It was McGregor vs. Nate AND Herb Dean in there. A rigged fight. Herb kept peppering him with shots.

I think he can do a lot better setting that left up and landing a wider array of shots.

I'm not saying I'd pick Conor to win; he didn't seem to have he cardio to impliment that type of plan, but I do think he can fight better than he did last night.

Always be a fan of Conor's fighting and knew he was a good dude because that is how he was before this media monster emerged, but after last night with his post fight interview then his performance at the post fight presser I went ahead put myself as an official Conor fan, but it seems all his ride or die devoted fans he had Friday are nowhere to be found. Friday on Sherdog he could not lose, Sunday on Sherdog he can't win. This is really exciting

I don't buy the inefficiency crap.

His shots had plenty of power, then he got tagged by a 1-2 because he didn't respect Nate's power. When Nate cracked him with that left straight, his energy got zapped.

Then he went for a takedown for some stupid reason.

Conor looked small in there. If he can keep making 145, he should just hang out there as he needs better grappling for LW and WW is laughable.

No what happened was Conor got hit with clean shots by the better boxer and overall better martial artist
Was to worried bout his ninja spinning shit and forgot Stockton what!

If Conors head wasn't worried about all these belts he'd remember the most common belt he needs held by most UFC fighters.

It's ok though Nate can teach the little guy on weekends
