Just watched the show...this was one of those "premium live events," that probably would have been better if it wasn't the one right before Mania so the outcome of the matches was obvious.


Women's EC: This was ugly...thank God for Asuka winning and Liv' shorts...because it was crap. With the exception of Asuka these women start at awful and go downhill form there. Nattie has always been slow and shitty and now's she's competing with Charlotte to see who's face can melt faster. Liv is great to look at...but she is just terrible in there. Carmella's face is heading down the melted wax slide...I appreciate the whale tail though. Nikki has never recovered from being with Bliss...she lost any and all in ring talent she had from that pairing. All that being said...Raquel still stands out as being complete shit by comparison. The worst power diva to come along since Tamina. Hopefully this is the year Asuka gets her Mania win... Bianca is lame as all hell. Crazy Asuka has someone become hotter...anyone who says otherwise can fuck a Young Buck.

Brock vs Lashley: This was some hoss diesel clubbering...I liked it until the end...that was stupid. The aftermath was entertaining though.

Grit Couple vs Judgement Day: This was weird. Match was decent for a while, but then they had to get in the chicks beat up the dudes bullshit and it lost me. Bad timing to have this match...even if Finn took the L, Rhea shouldn't be losing before her big Mania rematch with David, I mean Charlotte. Probably should have done this match after Mania and had it lead to a 1 off match with Rhea and Beth and whatever the fuck comes between Mania and Summerslam.

Men's EC: This is some midcard fuckery pretending to be important. There's nothing worth a damn here. Bronson is a poor man's Otis with a soy bitch personality. Montez is a generic spot monkey who acts like a dork. Theory is a generic CAW from a 2k career mode. Gargano can be a decent worker when he's not in bullshit indie mode...but we're in a gimmick match so I expected full indie bullshit from him...and got it. Every time I think Rollins can't be anymore of a dorky bitch he pulls some of that Joker bullshit with his cringe wife and proves me wrong. Priest seems like he has potential but he'll never get past the stink of being Robin to Bad Bunny's Batman. Ford's spot was stupid. Who the fuck still thinks these dumbass everyone stand around for 3 minutes to setup and fall down like bowling spots are impressive? They're dumb as fuck and if you like them you're a bad person. The fake injury to leave the cage open was obvious, but I'll be fair to spot monkey Ford he did a pretty good job selling it. i don't give a fuck about whatever Paul that was vs Rollins...or anything else about this.

Roman vs Sami: This is another one that probably would have been better if it wasn't the premium live event before Mania. Only a filthy Quebecois could believe in there being any chance of Sami winning...and that's a shame because Sami despite being a ginger Jewish Muslim Quebecois vegan hippy is a damn good wrestler. I enjoyed the match...but I feel like if this had happened after Mania I would have bought into more of the false finishes and it would have made the match more fun. Not being able to suspend disbelief always drags it down a couple notches. The ending though...that was horse shit. That was some WCW at it's worst level convoluted fuckery. Awful stuff at the end, and after a pretty good match too. Bad luck on timing for Sami.

Overall this was an ok show that was hurt by being in the filler roll between Rumble and Mania. Asuka winning was the only really important thing on the show...that and Liv's shorts.

You should just stop watching wrestling at this point. Maybe Power Slap is more your speed now.
 
Men's EC match was awesome! Easily match of the night for me and Montez Ford is brilliant.

Main event was a little disappointing even though I knew Sami wasn't winning. Still kinda hurt enjoyment of it, and I don't think they booked around it very well. Also, I'm not up to date with everything in WWE so maybe there's something I missed that would have made me enjoy it more. To me it just seemed over booked in a way that didn't really make much sense.

Everything else was pretty decent, but nothing to really write home about. I dunno if the Lashley v Lesnar DQ was a blessing in disguise with the Wyatt promo from Friday lol

Montez Ford was already on my radar, but he’s really grown on me recently. Both the Prophets have actually, Ford seems like a true athletic freak. He needs some more fine tuning but I think he’s gonna be a future name
