Absolutely, especially considering Izzy has already complained about early stoppages before. Any fighter who complains about an early stoppage needs to be beaten until they stop moving, then have a few extra shots landed on their head to make sure they aren't faking it.

Thats why early stoppages suck. Now we're left to assumptions. There's no way of knowing. We were robbed of a result.

He fell bad after the uppercut and just covered up. The ref stopped it fast but he didnt really do anything to make us think he would recover

Wasnt horrible early, but he wasnt getting up from there, because, hurt from 2 BIG blows, what defense is he going to go for? turtle up and cover up, whats Imavov going to do? proceed to punch his arms, sides and back of the head until the ref stops it, it just saved Adesanya from a few more good blows, even if he wasnt done done, it was a decent stoppage, just looks a tad early.

PS: Worth mentioning he was doing alright up to that sequence, the good ol he was winning until he wasnt, but a lot of times its often true, is it because the other guy is just timing them or they just get caught eventually? Who knows, but so far he is 0-3 and not getting younger, give him MV-fucking-P, 5 rounds of course, even if its the most boring stalemate i wouldnt mind watching it.

Objectively it was well within the constraints of what I have come to expect of UFC stoppages.

Personally I would prefer to have more decisive outcomes even if that means someone taking a few more blasts to their semi conscious and likely concussed brain...


But no... now we have to pretend to care about brain damage and act like we don't enjoy watching people's heads get smashed in while we watch men beat the shit out of eachother in cage matches.

I don’t get this one. It could have been stopped after the follow up punch. Izzy was face down on his stomach, rocked, and eating punches. He wasn’t going to get anywhere.

I much prefer fights too go a little too long than end too early and I am not a fan of a lot of Goddard’s early stoppages, but this was perfect imo.
