If the ref would have let that fight continue Costa would have got his ass beat even more. If the fight would have continued Costa would have been brutally knocked out or beaten to a bloody pulp. You could look at Costa in the second round and tell that even he knew he was wasn't going to win the fight. Costa bit off more than he could chew with Israel Adesanya. Israel Adesanya is to skilled of a fighter for Costa.

You guys don't get it. Costa looked so bad in this fight because Israel Adesanya is just that good.

Perfect stoppage in my view. Costa was never going to recover and it was quite literally checkmate.

In the heat of the moment it looked a tad fast, but in reality was not at all.

Best case scenario if it wasn't stopped, was Costa holding on to the end the round. The round would be a 10-8, Costa would be absolutely busted up waaaay worse than he was, and he'd be half conscious as he made his way to the stool. Absolutely would have been a KO in devastating fashion within seconds of the 3rd round starting.

Ref did the the right thing.
