Not the guy you quoted lol. Because this fight was just announced today there hasn't been much money bet on this fight yet. So it wouldn't take much for a shift in oddsi don't know much about sport gambling, someone tell me which one of these fellas is right!!!

when initial odds come out, within the first 24 hours the biggest factor is usually what other bookies put their odds at, not the public. the bookies balance themselves out. and line shifting is a lot about people dropping large amounts of cash on one side relative to the other. the bookies may change their opinion on what they think the true lines are because of public opinion, but that opinion is strongest when its backed by money.It's not about someone coming in to one casino with a bag of cash and dropping it on Jones. It's about the books seeing a trend. A trend among the people who bet as soon as the fight is announced.
