Fight opened: Jones -265 Cormier +225 Now: Jones -300 Cormier +250

Looks like not that many people willing to bet on DC.....

that's a pretty small shift for a fight that was only announced recently..

Don't see how DC wins.

Jones looked average last fight against an average LHW, but still don't see DC having improved enough to win.

If he can grab an oblique kick and slam and hold, maybe, but jones is much more agile and very fast to get up from takedowns.

DC isn't getting any younger and Jones just won against a top 10 LHW using basically only his oblique kick. Not looking good for DC.

Can't really blame them considering that Jones won the last time they fought.

i don't know much about sport gambling, someone tell me which one of these fellas is right!!!
Not the guy you quoted lol. Because this fight was just announced today there hasn't been much money bet on this fight yet. So it wouldn't take much for a shift in odds

Lol his little arms cant reach jones unless he dirty box
You didn't watch the first fight did you? Was very close when DC was aggressive with boxing and had success until his ego of wanting to take jones down came in later

Dc needs a pure boxing gameplan on this fight

Bones is masterful at controlling range and if you bull inside on him his clinch work is a thing of beauty. No matter where it goes Jones is a problem.

Those little arms landed more strikes than jones check fight metrics.
Most of jones strikes were to the body and leg hence knees and kicks.
Jones hands are garbage and dc was outboxing him

It's not about someone coming in to one casino with a bag of cash and dropping it on Jones. It's about the books seeing a trend. A trend among the people who bet as soon as the fight is announced.

Jones beat down DC everywhere in this one.
Standing, clinching boxing grappling etc etc etc etc.

thats quite a line for someone like DC who is an exceptional fighter - the first fight was pretty close - w that said, jones just has a lot of skills that im not sure how cormier will get against - he def could thoguh

Jones came from a 16 month layoff and dominated a top ten opponent, DCs last fight was a battle with gus, plus he's coming off a injury, he's older than Jones, and Jones has already beat him.
IMO Things don't look good for DC

DC can win. I just don't know how. I think dirty boxing and good old fashioned wall n stall can work.

when initial odds come out, within the first 24 hours the biggest factor is usually what other bookies put their odds at, not the public. the bookies balance themselves out. and line shifting is a lot about people dropping large amounts of cash on one side relative to the other. the bookies may change their opinion on what they think the true lines are because of public opinion, but that opinion is strongest when its backed by money.

the first online bookie that made lines available had jones at -278.

you can still get jones at -278 right now. there was zero shift.

lets not pretend you know what youre talkin about huh
