Early 90s vs. Late 90s... which was better?

Early 90s was my childhood, after all being born in the mid 80s. I enjoyed the early 90s more because you cared far less about things because of your age. Sure by the late 90s gave you the internet and other platforms but I think the early 90s people still had far more fun without technology.

Nah I was born mid 80's as well but the internet was to much fucking fun. Porn, online gaming, and meeting bitches online. Not even a contest really.

Never forget my family members having to call my house so that I would message my cousin online to get off the internet so they could talk to his mom. People would kick him off and instead of staying off so they could call back he would just keep reconnecting online and get mad at them for not stopping.
 
Late 90s because it was the early days of the internet, when it was an amazing place and not a shithole filled with angry political opinions.

For music and general pop culture, yes the early to kid 90s was the best. For everything else, the late 90s.

Life became far too easy because of the internet. I enjoyed the aspect of earning things and holding onto them until their wheels came off.

Trust me, the late 90s and early 2000s were a good time for me as well. I had gotten DSL pretty early and I had bought a Memorex re-writable cd rom and let’s just say I made a decent amount of money selling cd’s for 5 dollars a pop.

But something about the early 90s was just a magical period, at least for me.
 
only can remember late as I was a baby for the first bit.

it was fun though. things got progressively shitty from 2000 onwards. I wonder if its due to growing up, or the era? Maybe a combo of the two?

I don’t really remember the early 90s, because I was a youngster. So I guess I’d have to go with the late 90s.
 
90s all ran together for me.

What seems strange to me is I remember watching fireworks shows from NYE 1999 going into 2000 and it seems so long ago but 9/11 seems much more recent.
 
Mid to late 90s when all the best punk ska albums were made.

It was a glorious time to be a teenager.
 
I as between the ages of 9-19 from 1990-1999. Really depends what you mean by 'better'.
 
1990-97

98 and 99 were the beginning of all of today’s nonsense.
 
They were both pretty great. Radically different from each other, too.

Doesn't seem like the early 80's were that much different than the late 80's. But the early 90's was night-and-day different from the late 90's. That might have something to do with the millennium and everybody feeling like we were about to enter "the future." That would explain the techno music and shiny clothes of the late 90's, I guess.
 
early to mid 90s was more original in terms of music and culture late 90s was when it all went mainstream.
