EA UFC Cover Curse?

Well was thinking last night , if Conor gets blasted tonight by Nate Diaz .. which I believe he SHOULDNT. Can we start to say a cover curse like Madden had for years ??

Think about it .. JJ .. now he hasn't got blasted but his career outside of the octagon has been a bit blurry you could say :)

Gus .. well we have all watched the fall of him as of late.

Ronda .. KO'd the very next day she was announced on cover

Now that leaves us with conor .. I hope he murders Diaz .. don't want Diaz to be the derailing of conor lol I see a lot more big fights coming IF he can win tonight .. what is the ol sherdog's forums opinion on this ?? ..

Edit: forgot to add Lesnar on that list as well :)

He's also on the cover of Sports Illustrated. Sh!ts not looking good...
 
Dang it, i like the hype, i'm a fan of McGregors fighting style... I think i'm ready to sacrifice my favourite fighters just to keep the train going.into GOATness. But remember that McGregor isn't superstitious, and he makes his predictions come true. He'll decide what effect the curse will have.
 
Doesnt matter if Conor losses. MMA got so much attention because of him i think many casuals would still stay to watch some events. Anyway UFC got many high caliber fighters that are fun to watch so UFC will be ok if Conor losses 10 in a row.

Very true .. the train keeps moving. I get that .. but honestly hes the biggest star they've ever had! .. look at rogan's face when he walked into those weigh ins yesterday .. to say the UFC wouldn't take a huge blow if Conor loses bad tonight is oblivious

I agree. Conor is biggest male star in MMA ever. It's funny but very true. Today popularity is measured with facebook likes, youtube views and any other internet shit. Even Jones is not as popular as Conor. Maybe its not popular but i think Nate has very big chances to win this one. It depends on so many things. I'm fu*king pumped for this UFC.

That's a good look ^ .. . an I totally agree man .. iv been watching MMA sense 2003 .. im 27 now haha .. so I have been a fan for a long time. This fight is very interesting , and if Conor dominates diaz .. not just standing but can survive say a sub attempt .. you have to put him skill wise up there with the best. we all know how great his hands and chin are. BUT if he truly can keep running through different styles and different weigh classes. That's pretty damn impressive. Only ones ive seen move up and down and be successful is Anderson and Randy Couture .. BUT not jump 2 weigh classes up for a fight.. on 2 weeks notice. You gotta tip your hat to conor .. I truly believe when he says he wants to bring back true mixed martial arts , where weight didn't matter. An he backs up what he says , how can you doubt the guy.
 
Don't forget the original EA MMA game with Fedor and Couture on the cover. Didn't work out too well for either of them.

Damn .. I didn't even think of that too!! .. haha this is very true , all the odds against McGregor tonight lol
 
i don't see the appeal of buying a game with two people who just lost on it
