Serious question. What society have you lived in your entire life? Gambling addiction is real, and yet we have lottery tickets on at every gas station and convenience store across the country. Is this wrong?
Like I said earlier, the point everyone keeps avoiding, alcohol, cigarettes, sugar, caffeine, etc are
ALL addictive and more detrimental to your health than a loot box that may contain a skin. Companies have always tried to use a psychological hook on you, I realized that the first time I saw a hot chick in a bikini in goddamn gum commercial.
Gambling addiction is real, so why are people ranting against loot boxes and not the casinos?
Game shave been implementing ways to get you addicted for decades now. Shit, I remember the Diablo 2 preview in Computer Games Magazine where the dev was talking about the "kill/reward" mechanic that kept people playing. Why do you think leveling up in a bliizzard game is so rewarding? (DING!).
Loot boxes havent had as many addicts as games in general. So why rant about loot boxes instead of games themselves? Far more peoples lives have been "ruined" by wow than goddamn loot boxes. Seriously, has anyones life ever been ruined by a loot box mechanic?
Anyway, games have been addicting and attracting addicts for a long time now. Why are loot boxes worse?

Again, how are loot boxes worse than the games themselves as far as getting people addicted? Do you honestly think people buy Overwatch just because of loot boxes?
