Who remembers this awesome line of late night drunk food? It seemed to disappear overnight to never return. I'm still trying to find some line of grub that measures up years later and nothing has come close to the culinary awesomeness of Yoakum's fare. My intense 15 minutes of google research revealed nothing to explain what happened. To those in the know, let's reminisce of the glory of what was and if anyone has more info on what happened please chime in.

I'm possibly a bit older than you guys and this may have been a regional thing, I'm not sure. Clearly neither one of you fine gentlemen had the pleasure of experiencing the Yoakam microwave majesty that I was privileged to know.

When I was ragged out on a bender in the early-mid 90s and woke up to find passed out strippers in the living room and my housemates in the garage lit up on blow and running a train on the neighbor's wife it was my solace to retire to my personal space and reap the glorious sustenance of the best restorative bounty ever.

Yeah....sounds like modern day frozen bullshit you can find in any Wal-Mart frozen aisle.


That being said Dwight Yoakam's a fucking genius. The best country music of the last 30 years came from him, hands down, no debate. A true voice of the genre, and by God what a voice...

I'm thinking regional. I eat too much frozen junk food, but I've never seen any of this. Would try.
 
Seems like I barely remember those, I just had a Red Lobster cheese biscuit and damn was it good

Yes and it was as glorious as you could dream of.

I cannot change the past, I can only try to be the best person I can be and help those who weren't there in some small way imagine how it feels to touch the hand of God and monge on a pile of Yoakum's chicken biscuits and riblets when all hope seems lost.

Anyway don't piss me off and make me drag you into a discussion on how George Carlin's stand-up became angry and cynical in his later years and discolored his legacy. Shit wasn't funny.

Huge Carlin fan BTW, I would have loved to have had a conversation with him, even for a few minutes, in this lifetime. Just being a prick here, in the best kindest possible way.

That is 100% a mexican song. Given country fans' propensity for keeping the brown down south they apparently have no problem dancing to mariachi.
