Elijah Smith vs Caolan Loughran – Elijah Smith was the sharper fighter for the better part of two rounds, but he’ll have to work on that fading heart/cardio because he looked like a broken man in R3. Nonetheless, well done on getting to the UFC – how you gonna fare with a brash Irishman taunting you all Fight Week? Hell, I wanna know!
Aaron Tau vs Carlos Vera – If Aaron Tau doesn’t tape opponents, how will his team prepare him for leglock specialist Carlos Vera of Ecuador? Does Tau avoid takedowns and just invest in the body? I would like to see how they approach it and see if Vera can get that first UFC win himself. He’s got skill on the mat, but he can’t afford to fade against a cardio monster like Tau.
Tallison Teixeira vs Valter Walker – Valter Walker has not been hugely impressive to date, but did beat Junior Tafa recently. More to the point, though, this is two huge 6’7 boys going at it in the cage, two big Brazilians, Valter probably will want to get this to the ground, but Tallison’s striking is accurate enough that I suspect he checks that chin. Should be a good one!
Ateba Gautier vs Jose Medina – If not Medina, then a newcomer. Gautier is a great athlete, so powerful, his strikes just hurt dudes man, especially those that look a bit undersized. 33 year old Medina is 0-2 in the UFC but really lost thanks to takedown heavy strategies, which Gautier is unlikely to execute, so we could just get a banger here. Medina has a BIG experience advantage, though, hence I’d also entertain a rookie for Ateba’s UFC debut. In fact, I’d prefer it!
Ahmad Hassanzada vs Mohammad Yahya – Finding an opponent that would be competitive is kinda tough, even some of the guys that have gone 0-2 in the UFC might be too much for Ahmad right now. He has very sloppy striking, a very poor gas tank, and while he has heart and a fun arsenal of submission holds, I’m not sure he can put it together at this level. That said, Mohammad Yahya from UAE isn’t anything special either, have them fight in Abu Dhabi and I think both will get support in their quest for a UFC win. Yahya has been choked a couple of times, opening the door perhaps for the Afghan.

I'll leave these here!
Good night everybody, see you next time!
