The problem with dwayne becoming the next arnie is simply that they don't make movies like the kind arnie made anymore...

-and I don't mean that in an old guy bashing the young kind of way, I mean they really don't, because this world is too pc and afraid to take risks any more.

For instance, arnie using an innocent bystander as a human shield in total recall.
-That shit wouldn't fly anymore. That kind of stuff only happens to zombies, and monsters in horror movies. You can't even see a decent action movie with killing anymore. It's all PG-13 now to protect profits and all you get is bloodless shooting, off-screen falling or far away deaths and certainly not innocent people murdered in cold blood, center frame.

You can't even slap women around any more.
Feminists have turned women into supermen and they beat up guys now, and if they get so much as a pat on the head, whoever did it gets terrible comeuppances.

this. Was watching the original total recall with my wife the other day. AT one point she just turned to me and said sth like "what's with all the blood?". Old lady cursing Arnie was hilarious.

Sammo never had a problem there. EVERYONE was fair game. Helped that the girls were frequently more than capable of slapping you around right back, be they Cynthia Rothrock, Yukari Oshima, Michiko Nishiwaki, Angela Mao Ying, Michelle Yeoh, or whoever.

I think Dwayne is good, and he has charisma. But he hasn't been in a single great movie yet. He has no iconic character. If you're trying to put him on some sort of pedestal, this is a problem.

I'd even take Russell Crowe or Vin Diesel over him.
