He was demanding one before the Nate fight, which was billed as a high profile fight and basically a #1 contenders fight at the time, cause Nate's higher profile at the time, its not crazy imo.

He refused a replacement when Duffy pulled out against him too and was also just whining to be released. He also demanded a title shot even though Tony exists... Not a good look at all.

Beating a Diaz does nothing for your career. Losing to a Diaz drops you in the ranking significantly. Dustin did the right thing if he wants to be goal oriented.

He's coming back from undisclosed injury and gets title shot haha but look Ferguson turned down fight with Max for interim, Conor and Nate didn't even tried to get Max fight so available was only Poirier and Iaquinta.
 
Although the last cut worked out, the one previous was a religious experience for Max. Good idea to move up in weight.


I don’t blame Ferguson for refusing an interim after what they did to him and that other loud mouth POS Colby. It’s meaningless and doesn’t give you a shot at the returning champ anyway. Back up the Brinks truck, Fergasun fights whomever they got.
The fight game is about $$$$ the rest is kids stuff.

Nate never pulled out of a fight. Just turns down offers he doesn’t like. They can make him crappy offers to full fill their end of the contract and when he turns them down throw him under the bus to make him look bad and put pressure on him and it doesn’t work.

He was running around after the presser saying he was out. Went on twitter and said he was not fighting. Dude was having a meltdown weekly about the fight

He has only pulled out of one fight and has time and time again accepted short notice fights. His one and only pull out was the most upsetting thing in 2018 though.
