I like that a lot of guys are now competing in BJJ matches/submission grappling.
How fast will tonon tap him? That’s the only question
Lol even Doostin knows he fooked.
I hope striking is allowed because BJJ has gone to the TRASH heap these days... everyone is a guard flopping, ankle diving, berimbolo flipping little chicken these days spamming leg locks.
Over are the days of Arona, Jacare, Drysdale, etc just power doubling, smash passing, dudes who would saw your face off into the mat with pressure...
I miss real submission grappling...
always fun watching some DP action
Wtf is this
Dustin gonna get tapped fast here, let's see if he can last longer than the 25 seconds or whatever it was Gonzaga managed against Gordon Ryan.
Well at least he knows already
Also, Rumble vs Blaydes in Sumo???
Also, Heaviest Sumo wrestler ever (583 lbs) vs 210lb Sumo champion.
Definitely have to check this out!
Any form of, but not limited to, striking, fish-hooking, eye gouging, biting, scratching, and spitting is strictly forbidden. It will be up to the discretion of the referee or any SubStars official to disqualify a competitor for any used technique they deem illegal.
Scissor Take downs
Tag team matches???
Tag Team Rules
Teams must consist of one competitor below 175 lbs and the other Above 175 lbs (or both competitors below 175 lbs) for Male and Above and Below 135 lbs for Female
Matches will start with lower weight team members
Male and Female Divisions
One Tag (Hand Slap) per Match
Team member must be on their knees to slap in
Continuous action during transition of hand slap
10 minute Submission Only Matches
Score a point with a submission
Once a competitor is submitted their partner enters the mat to finish off the 10 minute round
Two 2-minute First to Score Overtime Rounds, opponents are paired according to weight
Sounds boring. Bet no one watches it.
Modern BJJ is just not entertaining ...
Danaher ruined sport bjj. The sport really needs a separate promotion or division that bans leg locks. Honestly watching white belt matches were leg locks are banned end up being more exciting then high level matches. GI isn't as bad as Nogi with the leg locks but it's really made competitions stale.
Over or under 1 min.
I'll go under.
Too bad submission grappling doesn't pay as much as bare knuckle boxing because I'd rather see former MMA fighters be submitted by true ground specialists than watching them lose some more brain cells against big fat nobodies.
