Best interview yet. Guy truly is a gem.

Some cliffs:

- Might have fractures in his shins.

- “who does that lol” in regards to Dan’s Bone-on-Bone leg strikes, acknowledges their effectiveness.

- Dan had him hurt early on. Says if 2nd round was one minute longer Dan maybe would have finished him.

- Acknowledges a huge bump in popularity post-Khabib.

- Doesn’t like having these types of wars but given how Dan was beating him in the first two rounds (and how bad of shape he was in) he had to go out from the third and make it the dog fight. It was do or die.

- Being healthy, mind and body, for his wife and daughter take priority over his love for the sport. I believe his exact words were “I don’t want to love it so much that it ends up killing me” ...

I can't get over the Screech implications of his Dustin "The Diamond" nickname

For those who don't already know, Screech was played by an actor named... Dustin Diamond

He's right about the popularity part. He gained more than 600k Instagram followers after the Khabib fight.

Ya, I always wondered if he chose that nickname with this in mind or it's just a coincidence?

Like Rich "Ace" Franklin was on purpose
Franklin's nickname comes from looking like Ace Ventura.
Edit: misread your second line. carry on

Can listen to DP all day

It's impossible for me to not cheer for Porier in recen years.

Dude's a top quality fighter, has been exciting as hell for a long time, and increasingly shows he's a good dude.

It's actually nice to see his charity work starting to create some additional popularity for him. Reminds me of Russell Wilson and the work he does with Seattle Children's. Keeping their name out there in the right kind of way.

good interview. i like dustin a lot. although i kinda lost him in this instance once he said he KNOWS he can beat khabib.

he sounds dumb tho "i think ive earned my opportunity for a big fight" oh great here we go again. but whats a big fight dustin? do you want to be champ or fight in a big fight?
i think any of your your next fights will be pretty "big" dumbass. unless you are trying to fight mike tyson or something . i was starting to like him right before his win but now that he won. he aint right lol
