The fuck conor has to gain more than he already did.. he has two weight class world titles including the one he is competing in against him...
Conor retires again with his past unchanged and records still on paper.
Dustin loses he failed to avenge the loss, he failed to get to the title again, and well... I think that's enough.

A truly game fighter who will push himself to his limits to win. If he avenges this loss it does look incredible, but if he loses he’s still accomplished a lot and beaten some elite fighters in a shark tank weight class. Without Khabib no one is fighting to prove they’re the best LW in the world though.
There has certainly been more on the line in terms of legacy, financial, and championship status than this fight.

I think it is to prove who the best is. Dustin finished Justin. Justin finished Tony. Conor finished Dustin, now Dustin and Conor are fighting. Do Bronx is the only other argument.

Its a gigantic fight for both of them. If Dustin beats Conor he is setup for a title fight, while a loss could mean gatekeeper or on to another league. If Conor wins he gets a title fight ASAP, nothing would stop that. However if Conor loses not sure he comes back. Especially if they start all the shit talking.
 
Seems like a nice contender fight. I would go as far as saying its is important.
 
I've never rooted for Conor to win (though never to lose either now that I think about it), but I hope he humiliates and destroys Dustin.

Dustin is one of the most embarrassing fighters when it comes to begging, he literally has countless posts of himself calling out the Diaz bros, Conor, and various boxers for a big pay day. He calmed it down a bit after the Khabib humiliation, but holy shit that was all that his social media consisted of before that. I'm sorry but begging to that level is a huge turn off, never liked him since.

Read my post. Conor already beat Dustin. He's expected to best him again. If he loses that's a huge blow to his career. Dustin can afford to lose again.

2 division world champ is tge highest honor ever achieved in ufc. He could lose 10 more times and people will blame it on coke or say his prime is done
 
Bisping vs Rockhold. The only feasible way Bisping would get a title shot was a short notice fight after arguably losing to a washed Anderson, he needed to be flawless to win and he did. That fight might've even launched him into the Hall of Fame.
 
Another reason this fight is so important for poirer is because it’s the first time mcgregor is giving a rematch to a fighter he beat.

also, if Dustin wins, he’ll earn a third trilogy fight. More money and star power.

I mean, that’s a totally fair opinion. Charles is without a doubt the elephant in the room when it comes to arguing who’s the best. But for my money, I’ll always be thinking that Khabib could handle Oli, Conor or Dustin. Even if he’s retired I find it hard not to immediately consider him in the background.
