Rumored Dustin, Dana and Conor have all agreed to the rematch verbally

Not if he keeps this shit new boxer style he has.

Even if he comes up with a solution to those calf kicks... I think he'd lose again unless he goes back to his old style.
He has to go back to his old style otherwise he has no chance by only boxing.

agreed.

I have no doubt he levelled up a bunch in a certain range but I don't think he has the sort of power in his hands as advertised but that it was more about timing, accuracy, and the directions that the bodies were moving in at the moment of contact.

They’ll do the trilogy fight eventually, but it’s not time now. First Poirier needs to face someone for the belt and Conor needs to pick up a win.

This is the time. Conor is a meme right now, in a few months people will forget all about him if he isn't fighting soon.

Dustin 2.0 finishes Conor 100/100 times

Let them fight, I don't think Conor wins and another mill or so plus a win won't hamper Dustin's ranking
Meanwhile Chandler and Do Bronx can fight for the title
Give the title shot to the hungry

It actually makes sense for all of them.

Biggest money fight Dana can make for Conor at this time in LW
Biggest money fight for Poirier
Redemption match for Conor

He can also fight Diaz again but that reeks of a gatekeeper fight with little prestige.

I think Conor gets KO'ed again.
Where is this rumor from? Hoping it is a credible source.

The gatekeeper fight with little prestige would be the biggest event the UFC has ever done

Here's what will happen: Conor doesn't get the rematch and boxes Pac and Dustin gets finished By Olives. These two never meet again.

I don't think Conor can win right now, an immediate rematch will be a suicide at this point.

The boxing has been done but Dana and Conor have similar mind sets and would probably go where the money is, especially since results are seemingly not guaranteed for Conor in the short term.
I dont know what you’re trying to say exactly, sorry.
But if you doubt conor wants to box manny, they have the same agent and all 3 have agreed on it verbally multiple times.
I am verry glad Dustin ruined that for them lol

If they not only give Conor an immediate rematch, but also a title shot over deserving contenders like what's been mentioned? I'd lose what little respect I have for the UFC's matchmaking system. I'd never buy anything related to the brand again.

you didn’t lose respect when they were handing out title shots to Yoel Romero off of losses. Why would you now? Let Dustin get paid. It makes business sense, it also allows Conor to redeem himself or fade away. No one is buying Oliviera Poirier, and while I think Oliviera has put himself in a great position I’d like to see him fight chandler first.

False equivalency. Besides, I wasn't a huge fan of that at the time and I'm still not, though I accepted it then on the basis of "UFC gonna UFC". 185 did not have an immediately strong and ready contender on a streak like Charles. Furthermore, Yoel's losses weren't brutal finishes after long layoffs -- they two razor-thin decisions (which many people still disagree with) in entertaining wars in a division he was active in. And guess what? It still blew up in the UFC's face and I was happy for it.

I don't mind Dustin trying to chase money fights, but he shouldn't be able to make the sport even more of a fucking circus than it already is in order to do so. He should have to choose between the cash or the strap IMO. Conor has his chance to redeem himself by staying active and fighting contenders like he hinted at in his post-fight interview. Plenty of people will buy Poirier/Oliveira; not every single matchmaking decision should at 155 lbs. should revolve around Conor being a draw, especially when so much of his star power just got shattered.

Charles already put himself in a good position by being on a streak of wins (mostly finishes) in the division while Conor was absent from the sport, with his last two being against Top 10 contenders.

You can throw whatever arguments you want about drawing power and "business sense" out there. I don't give a fuck. Letting Dustin and Conor tie up the division the belt with a trilogy is a farce and would make the UFC's matchmaking system lose what little credibility it has left.
