Dude, I was wondering if your party would ever make it out alive based on what you said has happened. What was your investment property?

We had some assistance from a powerful "rebel" in Abbadon who gave our amnesiacs a choice between getting their skills back, their feats or their class abilities, so that made shit slightly less painful. Thankfully Trog and the Necro were still 100 and able to SMASH! And Fireball some problems.

We saved a king of a small country back around 5th level ish (so long ago) who granted us some land and money, so we hired a steward to run the place while we were out adventuring...next thing we know we're plane hopping and time traveling and our town is wartorn....

Anyone have any good/funny moments where you totally derailed the DMs well laid plans? And good/funny DM responses?

I'll come back in a sec and add mine.

Not rip-roaring hilarious or anything but...

OG DnD guy who played in one of groups was DM for a Lankhmar campaign. All the PCs wake up on a ship after being Shanghai-ed shortly after entering town separately and for different reasons. A mutiny breaks out and the new crew rescues a shipwrecked vessel that was the original mission for our captors. We're looking to head back to Lankhmar for our campaign to get going when a whirlpool opens up next to the ship. We hear melodic feminine voices calling to us to help free their father, the king, from a usurper. They call upon us to aid them and prove that we are mighty warriors.

My hillbilly ranger couldn't read all that well but had a decent amount of horse sense. He wasn't biting. Neither were the other PCs. The mermaid princesses kept asking and we kept passing.

Turns out, that was the first leg of the adventure and was supposed to get us to level 3. DM is a real good dude but had an "exasperated Mr Feeney" expression as he explained this to us. Sorry, dude. I had to get to the big city and find the guy with yellow eyes who killed my mentor.

On D&D Beyond? Feel free to say no, but do you have a master subscription to share unlocked content with others and would you be willing to create a campaign I could join so I can continue to browse them please?

I do. Own every single book on Beyond and print, both. Have regular subscription. Have been considering upgrading the DM subscription even though I have not DMed in like 20 years. Been playing since Basic set/1e Advanced D&D age 11 1981-2007 skipped shitty 4e started back in with 5e a few years ago.

Let me look into a DM subscription and we can certainly talk about it, I'm good like that lol

On our first trek across Abbadon/Hades we arrived at a cliff face in our path....

DM later admitted we'd say "hell no" to climbing it and find the path leading up...

Forgotten/unknown/DM was drunk when I learned it, Necro had the "fly" spell....memorized for two castings...

Cast Fly on self, and other weak ass party member then bulls strength on everyone but the juiced barbarian...necro carried a rope to the top to aid the now "performance enhanced" climbers

DM was pissed and decided the Plane had a wild magic trait....Necros fly worked as designed, other PCs fly left him with a trail of glitter, first bulls strength caused the the PC to be lifted into the sky then dropped, last PCs skin glowed and he'd bust into laughter (no actions) at random for the next hour...

We couldn't sneak and our next encounter was tough....lol

I was DM'ing the first session of a new game. As motivation for why the group was together in a random small town I gave a throwaway line about how they got screwed over on a job and kicked out of the city by the noble who had contracted them. It wasn't meant to be anything other than a little color and the bit I had planned was completely unrelated. But the immediate response from everybody at the table was not, "ok lets do this short session-one quest to get to know everybody's characters", no, it was "REVENGE!". So I had to dump everything I had planned and improvise the entire session as they set off to hunt down some of the noble's extended family and start stealing all their shit to get even. Whoops.

Wow. That's awesome. Don't want you to have to upgrade your subscription just for this though. I'd feel bad. Let me know if you end up upgrading anyways. Thank you. :D

To upgrade you've got to cancel your current subscription, which is bullshit imo. My current subscription lasts until May. I've been considering upgrading anyway since October to share books with my niece. If you can hold out until then and are still interested, let me know. It's double the current price but idgaf about $30/year.

You, sir, just rolled a natural 20 on your awesomeness. Thank you. Yes, I can wait until whenever. Looking forward to it! Thank you!

My life is busy AF (as I’m sure most people’s are). PM me or tag me here very beginning of May to remind me, thanks.

Anyone else want in, PM or tag me here and I’ll probably say yes

Dude...Pathfinder 1e barbarian level 11...3 attacks per round if going full attack and +6 to STR while raging ...

Stacked some fucking bodies...and a 75 damage full attack with one crit...would've been 95 if the second attack's crit confirmed...wasn't even raging...
