Paladin. The days of tabletop games were pretty awesome but then the internet and technology kinda destroyed that stuff. 1980's though, D&D was the bomb and hand painting your D&D figurines was the ultimate nerdy thing to do.

I still do that shit!

Thats my max level Bard.

I always dug the tapletop RPGs but was never really able to play them regularly.

I love Baldur's Gate. Probably the best and most memorable PC game I've ever played. Bought the Enhanced Editions for Baldur's Gate and Baldur's Gate II. Bought Siege of Dragonspear. I started playing BG: EE again but haven't finished it. I think I'm only in Chapter 3 and have stopped due to life. I only finished it once as a kid with a gnome Mage.

I tried multiple playthroughs. Only ones I finished were as paladins.

I played a lot of RPGs as a kid and in undergrad (Saturday game night, Thursday and Friday bar/gf night- was not a total nerd) : D&D, Marvel, Star Wars, Rifts.

my best D&D character was a Bandit from the Thief's Handbook.

I played 2nd edition in High School and came back to it repeatedly as an adult. I found some players as a sailor and we would play some in store rooms while underway. My longest stint was between wives, I would play every Saturday. We would alternate playing Hero system with AD&D. I've also dabbled in Shadow run and Cyberpunk, both awesome games. Coincidentally, dating and marriage seem to be the death knell for my role playing..

My favorite character was a rogue/fighter based on all the swashbucklers you've ever seen or read about.

Pally was absurdly OP if you kitted them out with red dragon plate, ring of fire resistance, cloak of mirroring and wielded the Holy Avenger great sword in BG2.

You could just walk through and solo beholders.

It's a bunch of voice actors playing DnD.

Matt Mercer, Laura Bailey, Travis Willingham, Sam Riegal, Marisha Rey, Liam O'Brian, Taliesan Jaffe and Ashley Johnson. (Check their IMDB and you will recognize them immediately)

Guest stars have included Terry Crews, Joe Manganiello, Deborah Ann Wohl, and others.

Be prepared, its addictive and season 1 is 151 episodes, each are minimum 3 hours. Season two is like 40 deep and plays on Twitch Thursday nights at 7pm.

Its fucking phenomenal. If you're a dnd fan you will be busting up and enjoy the hell out of it.

About 45 minutes into season 1 episode 1. Very cool. Thanks for mentioning.

So season 1 episode 1 starts with them already having defeated the grave threat to Emon? We don't know the story for that? Are they all level 1 at this point?

It started off as a private Pathfinder home game and mid campaign they decided to stream it and change to D&D 5th edition

That’s a dope blood angels terminator Sargent. Do you play BA or just collect models that strike your fancy.

That’s from my space hulk set. I have that. It’s actually just one of the normal squad terminators, but the limited edition minis are dope as fuck and every sculpt is different. With 40K I tend to stick to self contained board games as opposed to RPG stuff and the huge battle games. And also I just paint whatever I think would be fun.

These are the terminator squad sculpts from the limited edition space hulk (not painted by me). They’re just awesome.

Loved Dragonlance, had a bunch of the other books but sold them all off while in college.

Still have:

Had tried reading the Lost Chronicles and the War of Souls but they just weren't that good on top of some shitty editing.

I loved DragonLance. Had a ton of them as well but sold them when I was much younger. I bought Autumn Twilight, Winter Night, and Spring Dawning again. Best book reading memory I have as a child.

Sturm Brightblade's death was heroic and sad.

Never played, but I loved the Saturday morning cartoon.
