Also, I'm getting a strong Blade Runner vibe from that trailer.

Weird... I didn't hear any sound on that trailer... but the movie is called MUTE... so I'm not sure if it's a technical issue I'm having or that's the way the trailer is.

Just wanted to share that before I try another video cause it's pretty interesting given the movie title... even if it turns out to be a glitch in my system... that's some crazy synchronicity.

That looks...weird. But in a good way. Thanks for the reminder.

Big fan of Moon, I also liked Source Code even though it was flawed. Will definitely check this out.

I have every intention of catching this when it comes out.

Jones is probably one of about half a dozen guys pissed off they didn't get to direct the sequel, honestly in some ways I think he'd have been more suitable for it with more of a human/dramatic edge to his work, Villeneuve feels more like Kubrik to me, colder and more distant.

Honestly I find it hard to say, as is typical for Netflix trailers this ones a confused mess that makes it hard to tell much about the film.

Weird at first but enjoyed the last 45 min or so once everything gets tied together. 6.5/10.

What the hell is this movie about? That trailer told you nothing.

Mute dudes girlfriend goes missing and he tries to find her basically

This movie felt incomplete, and hacked to shit in the editing room. Like reading a book with entire chapters missing.

I don't know what happened from script to screen, but it feels like a 3 hour movie, that had an entire hour of vital plot points and character progression cut out of it. Nothing flows together. It feels like you're watching two entirely different movies, and then they just lazily piece it together at the end.

It at least looked good, and had some decent performances, but it's just a complete mess.

5/10

I read the review on gamespot and they absolutely trashed it so hard I don't think I can even watch it now

Trailer doesn't look great but I'll watch it. I'm a sucker for sci fi and liked both Moon and Source Code (really liked Moon).
