Ken Shamrock was never quite the same after Tito beat him into a living death at UFC 40.

To be fair the Frye fight was earlier that year in PRIDE before he fought Tito and that's likely what took the toll on Ken's body. It was shortly after he left the WWF, but from what I remember in interviews it was his first real training camp upon his return to MMA. He and Don were absolutely ready to die in that ring. If you haven't watched that fight, I urge you to make some time for it. Both guys took a few years off their lives with that one, it was bonkers.
