I've spent a long time googling answers for this and so far I've only discovered other threads asking the same question...! Many people say they've have gone to skin doctors and found no answers. And the issue persists for years on end, so it's not simply seasonal chapped skin.

Basically, I have a "dry" patch of skin on the last knuckle joint of one finger, a little on the side of the digit. At first I thought it may have been a wart, then perhaps chapped skin... but no other finger or area is affected. So I assume it is something else entirely. The cracked skin will go away for a bit but always return after a short while -- often times little blisters (which bled slightly) or yellowy puss bubbles will form.

Any ideas, doggers?

Indian rub burn it away and see what happens :P

Make sure the yellowy puss bubbles don't burst open when fapping. Be careful out there, bud.

Which finger?? If it's an unimportant finger like the pinky just cut it off

Put some semi-expensive oil that chicks use on their hands (whichever one you want as long as it's the good stuff) on that spot for several days. Done

Get yourself a girlfriend who is into fingers. Win-win situation.

You can try Aquaphor. It's like Neosporine but it's meant to heal really dry skin. Never had something like you're talking about, but it's worth a shot for the $4 it cost.

I had my half my pinky cut off and sewn back on.The therapy was weird, they would put my hand in some plexiglass box that was filled with warm sand and it would just mix away for like an hour.

you bartend? having alcohol and yeast on your fingers will royally fuck them.

If you work with your hands, get a barrier cream on them to stop them getting fucked up while you're working. I know a wine maker that rubs olive oil into his hands every night to stop the cracking and blistering as well.

The fuck? How'd you cut half your pinky off?

Sounds like dyshydrotic eczema. Use a combo cortisone/antibiotic ointment and occlude it with a glove- at night use so Fucidin-H with a cotton or latex free surgical glove when you sleep, topically without occlusion during the day.

When I was a kid I read a dirty joke book. One of jokes had a farm boy who hurt his thumb and the local wisdom was to put in a horse's butt to let it heal. Problem was, no horse was around. So a girl said to the boy, "Why don't you put your thumb in my butt then?" Boy said ok bent her over, flipped up her skirt and put it in. The girl said in shock, "Bobby, that's not my butt." Bobby replied, "That's ok Suzy. That's not my thumb."

Flawless victory.

My fingers crack until they bleed in the colder weather but this stuff helps a lot

Like someone else said it could be eczema. I have it and it was TERRIBLE when I was younger and it plagued me. I would use my fathers steroid ointments (no idea what they are called now sorry) and it would help a bit but I would ravage my hands on a daily basis and rub then raw to the flesh regularly. Somehow in my late teens it just kind of went away and I have never really have any problems in many years except the occasional slight dry spots that go away after a little while. Don't go by people on the internet, every case is different and a dermatologist might be able to diagnose you and get you the help you need.
