Indonesia is rampant with child labor and child prostitution, but I'm glad they're on top of that drug problem instead. First thing's first.

She knew the laws and she broke them, no sympathy from me. Have you ever arrived at an Asian airport? There are HUGE signs everywhere clearly stating 'Warning: Drug trafficking is penalised by death'

Don't agree with the punishment, but their rules, their laws...she knew it and broke it.

I'm sorry, but the last place I would ever try to smuggle drugs into would be Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia or china...

they don't fu*k around , simple as that..

This. She knew what she was getting into.

When you consider how many people die of OD's and drug related violence it's not hard too understand the rationale for the death penalty.

Have you ever scene the movie Return To Paradise?

It is a pretty interesting movie where Jaquin Phoenix is on death row in Thailand for hash and stars Vince Vaughn in a dramatic role.

Real interesting look at the different cultural aspects

If I were her I would escape, then tell all about it on
Locked Up Abroad

but if i have drugs and trying to smuggle into that airport when I see those signs its too late since i already smuggled you know

Lol... wow what a enlightened bunch.

Before we look down our noses at them too much, a bunch of the shit we buy is manufactured there so we financially contribute to the situation.

i called BS on her kids being threating if she didn't delivered. She could have went to the cops but instead volunteer herself to be a carrier.

I don't know much about Indonesia but some would argue that criminalizing drugs causes drug violence by making it a criminal enterprise
