Drone video I shot today

Yeah I've been looking at it since it came out. Been wanting to get into drones for a while now but I don't have a good enough laptop to process and edit vids or make cool movies in, so I really don't know what I would do with all the feed. I feel like I'd be dropping over $1k on a toy that I wouldn't really take advantage of and that has kept me from getting one.

I hike a lot and spend a good deal of my weekends outdoors and I'd love to get some cool shots and clips from my outings, but I know myself and all the clips would probably just sit there.

I use Davinci Resolve. You can preview it in a lower resolution and have it optimize (render) video beforehand. It should run on most computers, but it'll take a while to do the optimizing and final rendering.

It's free except like 2% of the features are locked unless you pay. But, you can color grade for free, trim, cut, add audio, change speeds, and do almost everything for free.

Didn't want to start a whole new thread. Here's a video that I just did while in Puerto Vallarta

is that florida? damn, florida looks nice. gotta visit one of these days.

I actually was looking to get a drone myself to do similar videos. Going to research the one you have.

Really liked the video. I put on similar videos that are like a hour long with chill music, put them on in the background when I draw.

im still not seeing the drone in the video, is this like one of those hidden eye things?

Sweet!

I was wondering why this got revived.

How do you like the Mavic Pro? Is that the Mavic Pro 2?

Just aim it at the police station and see how long it takes before its shot down.

Or chase helicopters and join the herd.

Looks amazing. Are you a filmmaker? @rj144

Thanks, but it's not that great. I just do it for fun and I've actually learned a lot more about it since I posted this video in February.

Thanks though.

Want to get something like the mavic, but regulations are so tight here that it's not worth it. Might get myself licensed buy don't know if it's worth the time.

If you shoot in d-log, ground control have recently released a free LUT to convert d-log to rec709. Would speed up your work flow quite a bit.

This is the original mavic. The mavic 2 seems like it's going to be much better but I dantc justify it with how much I fly the one i have now

Nice shot. I used to live close to there in Boca. Anyone notice the speed trap at 20 seconds?

Where are you physically when you film?
