Manafort was wire tapped because he has been shady since the 1980's.

Manafort has a residence at Trump Tower. That doesn't mean he lives at Trump Tower.

When he was recently raided by the FBI.. he wasn't at Trump Tower, he was at his home in Virginia, where he lives.

The article, which I can only assume you didn't even read says this very specifically,
