I could write a wall of text.. But let me start carefully with : how do did you deal with the feeling of moving away from your prime?

Be it training, making music, chasing women, or whatever.

I dont think this is a mid life crisis thread. But i am not sure. Haha

It happens. I used to have hair and could recover in hours not days.

Nice thing is that your eye sight also goes, so you can't see yourself too clearly in the mirror.

Hopefully you have some wisdom and don't prioritize the things you did before (which are deteriorating).

Hopefully you have more satisfying things to work on/look forward to.

We all go through it. Good luck.

Work out, go out and do stuff, hanging with the boys, post on Sherdog, learn Gen Z/Alpha slang, fam. No chasing women though, the wife would not be pleased.

Know your limit, but don't use age as an excuse to not do stuff

Fitness and fighting wise, i am way ahead of my 20 year old students in the gym.

But i was listening to the music i made in the early 2000 and 2010s.. It was not as polished as what i make today... But so much more creative and "edgy"

almost made my eyes rear up. Almosr...

This isnt exactly the "go gettem tiger" account of things, but at some point your life just changes and you need to find fulfillment in places that are different than what they once were. That was the answer for me at least

Once I get the dominant position be it in weightlifting, comedy, career etc.. I hold that shit with a vice grip.

I used to think that Toby Keith song saying " i ain't as good as i once was, but i. as good once as I ever was" was pretty gay. But now I understand what he means if that answers your question.

Bro I joined the military soon after my 18th bd then went to college after I got out on the GI bill in the late ‘90s. Never forget I was talking to a fellow freshman in my dorm & said I was 23 & he looked shocked & said “dude, you’re past your prime” lol.

Everyone’s different & genetics plays a role, but I don’t think I hit my “prime” til about 38 years old. Staying in shape, eating healthy & mentality makes a huge difference.

The most difficult thing to accept is that career opportunities & some other things are long since gone, but you still have enough choices left that can make life fun & interesting as long as you decide to not give in & let yourself go.

Stay in shape, keep learning and pursuing wisdom. No point in worrying too much about it, just do the best you can and appreciate the time you had being young for what it was.
