is there a lightweight model dragao?
how light are the war gis?
I don't know if Dragao makes a lightweight, per se, but I've worn a single weave from them and it was very light, lighter than other single weaves I've tried. It also had a great collar. No experience with War kimonos, sorry.
The lightest Gi Dragao manufactures is called "DRAGO" and weighs about 4.5lbs (Size A2).
We have the full line of Dragao gis available in stock.

my instructor and friend both have the WAR gi's, one red, one black. they look great and the pants are nice. the jacket is decent except that the material in the chest bunches together and makes it hard to move around in. both are a2's, instructor is 5'7 170, friend is 5'7 145.
i'd seriously take a look at fushida, they have a great size chart so it will fit you perfectly.
I have a WAR, the Camo version, its ROUGH!! It feels like your rolling in sandpaper and its very heavy.... I don't recommend them...
okay i guess i wont go with war... and the dragao seem super heavy. any other companies that arent like really mainstream with a little flash to them?
Just a thought... How about Naja Extreme? Very lightweight BJJ kimonos with a nice look. Fantastic collar design on these gis. Very comfortable and well made.
