Doo Ho Choi came back to Korea and had an interview with the Korean media.
Here is the excerpt that I translated. I'm sorry for the poor quality of it. English is not my mother tongue.

Q: You have become a fighter who receives attention from the UFC. How do you feel about it?
A: I want to be a champ. My goal is to have matches which stir people’s blood.

Q: When you walk to the octagon, you don’t seem nervous but very excited. Why is that?
A: There are lots of fighters who work very hard to fight in the UFC. I’m really happy and feel good to fight in the UFC. I eagerly looked forward to the last match because I had thoroughly prepared for it.

Q: You are always confident. What’s the secret?
A: The game plans made by my trainers and coaches are perfect and I practice very hard. That’s the reason.

Q: There haven’t been any champs from Asian countries in the UFC so far. Among Asian fighters who, do you think, is the closest to becoming a champ?
A: I am. I am very confident about it. I’ll become a champ no matter what happens.

Q: There are many excellent fighters in your weight division like Conor Mcgregor. What do you think about it?
A: I’m not sure if Conor can come down to the featherweight division again because he already fights in the heavier (welterweight) division. Anyway, a champion should be the strongest man in the division. He should defeat any fighters.

Q: Have you seen the match between Jose Aldo and Frankie Edgar?
A: I saw it on TV at my hotel. Both fighters were very good and strong. But I thought that there is no reason to believe I can’t defeat them. Mr. Yang (headcoach) also said I can beat them.

Q: Some say you are “the second Korean Zombie”. Do you agree with that?
A: I am a fan of Jung Chan-sung and we are very close to each other. It’s an honor that I can be compared with him. However, I want to have a modifier which exclusively belongs to me rather than being called “the second Korean Zombie“ because he and I fight in the same division anyway.

Q: Jon Jones failed the drug test. What’s your opinion on fighters’ taking drugs?
A: I haven’t taken any drugs. I wish other fighters would do the same. The more thorough the drug test becomes, the more favorable the situation becomes to those who do not take drugs. I hope fighters dependent on drugs will be weeded out soon.

Good stuff! I know Zubaira Tukhugov is on the rise in the same division! I'd love to see them fight.

"I haven't taken any drugs só far"

If it wasn't a translation this sentence would be very suspicious hahahaha

Thanks, sherbro

I mean using steroids or something like that...not cocaine or anything that kind...hehe...

Thanks for translating. KSB comes across as confident, but humble, and not really arrogant.

get that man ranked fighter next, i think he deserved #15 spot, since he beat his opponents more decisively than Bektic

Doo Ho Choi looks like he is 10.....The Koreans are hiding his real age from us.

His last 8 fights have been wins by KO/TKO. The UFC should be throwing PR money all over this guy in Asia.

Thanks TS for putting in the work
