Don't you appreciate Mike Tyson so much more?

You know how boxing is. Promoters get in the way or fighters don't want to risk loss.
I do but key question is also, were those guys ranked high enough at that time to even be considered to fight Tyson?
 
so in your opinion , why didn't those fights happen?

he would have fought Holyfield within months if he hadn't gotten into the rape situation. Riddick Bowe was still a couple years away from being title shot worthy and Ray Mercer was never a hot name and he lost to old Larry Holmes which didn't make him more marketable. Either way, Tyson was totally out of the picture when he was sentenced to prison and when he got out, he didn't maintain his form long enough to get past Holyfield, never mind any of the other top heavyweights.

It's been a long time but I don't think any of them were within consideration for fighting the pre-prison Mike. I think even Ray Mercer was still in the early stages of his career, I don't think he'd even beaten Tommy Morrison at the point that Tyson went to prison.
