Great post. People bring up the fact he never got a belt in order to denigrate his accomplishments. What these people fail to recognize is that one of the reasons he never got a belt is he's one of the few Fighters that never managed his career. He never turned down fights because of bad matchups, never had long periods of inactivity to protect a record, didn't turn down fights even when he wasn't 100%, and always fought to win and finish, not just out point.
Had he been more cautious, fought less, been more selective about match ups, he may well have gotten the belt, but then he wouldn't have been the same cowboy Cerrone we all love.
Also I think he won the 1st fight against Bendo in the WEC. And the Varner fight. Of course most of the bandwagon jumpers talking s*** about Cerrone, didn't even know who he was back then, or what wec was.
