He should fight for more titles. Maybe he can pull a bisping and win in the twilight of his career

LOL. Yeah that’s understandable. I had never heard of that. I still luv that guy. But I’m completely fine with everyone’s sexuality. As long as you’re both adults. Do your thing.
 
Great post. People bring up the fact he never got a belt in order to denigrate his accomplishments. What these people fail to recognize is that one of the reasons he never got a belt is he's one of the few Fighters that never managed his career. He never turned down fights because of bad matchups, never had long periods of inactivity to protect a record, didn't turn down fights even when he wasn't 100%, and always fought to win and finish, not just out point.

Had he been more cautious, fought less, been more selective about match ups, he may well have gotten the belt, but then he wouldn't have been the same cowboy Cerrone we all love.

Also I think he won the 1st fight against Bendo in the WEC. And the Varner fight. Of course most of the bandwagon jumpers talking s*** about Cerrone, didn't even know who he was back then, or what wec was.

Before this fight Dana was clearly not interested in making it but if you watched the post fight press conference he seemed pretty positive about the fight happening.
 
He's going to regret taking all those fights so close together. UFC is going to throw him in the trash first chance they get.
 
UFC should have a Cowboy Cerrone division. Only for fucking warriors.

It's not the same thing, he is a gatekeeper. There's nothing wrong with being a gatekeeper and having good fights though.
Matt Brown was his last non gatekeeper fight, since then he was picked to test a prospect and as a bounce back win for Lawler.
 
One of the greats. I don't understand how one can not be a fan of Cowboy.
 
Mediocre fighter who chokes in the big fights. Flashy sometimes, cringelord always.
 
Here's hoping he gets a lucky chance if he cant crack top 5 like Bisping who like Cowboy was around for ages always putting in the hard work.

A mediocre fighter wouldn't have wins over Eddie Alvarez, Barboza and Benson. Don't talk shit..
