Don Frye punches fan @270

Wasn't he just a boxing trainer?

Booze (and a protracted cage fighting career) is a mother fucker... the fact that it ended up being 2:1 when Frye was expecting a straight up fight *didn't help.

I thought it was Dog The Bounty Hunter's bodyguard?

Sonny Westbrook was small time ammy and gym war boxer who turned Coach and was Dog's trainer/Bodyguard. He F'ed Frye up as you can see hes got heavy hands and Frye was drunk. Alot fights go down drunk -so Frye still takes the L as he was knocked TF out.

His hands are registered as lethal weapons!

I’ve never understood why people antagonize people that could obviously destroy them , I guess they get some kind of a thrill out of it .
And even though I like Frye I still think it was probably a bad move to hit the chooch

The Fans friends a few years from now..

Hey remember you thought it was a good idea to mouth off to Don Frye ... Good times good times..

Thats how this should go.

But in this day and age....

Wouldn't even be surprised if a lawsuit comes of this... Pussification

Don’t kid yourself there’s an a long line of ambulance chasers trying to find this guy as we speak

"The pussification of America", as Carlin called it. And it's not a political/partisan thing either: Our current cultural climate (unfortunately) just promotes suing, playing victim, and lacking empathy/perspective.

Yes, the current soy brigade of US and Northern Europe.

He probably thought he was talking to some random old man, not many young people know Don Frye, just my guess.

I don't know, man. I guess it's an L when you get tied up by a second guy and can't land your follow up shot, temporarily block, or even just evade.
Not sure who any of those guys are; but Frye showed good restraint (or better restraint than some others) not going and looking for the second dude once it was all said and done.

The old trainer was first shoved to the ground before the video even starts so he popped up from there. Watch it in slow motion and you'll see Westbrook lands knuckles on Fryes (who misses) when its only the 2 of them. just because someone fought MMA dont mean he cant get clocked by someone with hands - wouldnt be surprised if Frye just didnt take him seriously as a threat

Yeah, I agree with everything you just wrote.
At the same time, dude with the t-shirt or towel (or whatever) hanging off his belt briefly grabbing Frye while Westbrook threw 2 punches was the beginning of the end for Frye.

That said, I'd hope that I wouldn't be brawling in the street if I was a former UFC champion.
