I didn't mind him blaming saying the stoppage was early, he even said it was his fault for getting in that position in the first place. However, he definitely shouldn't have gone after the Ref like that it was a bad look all around.

I don't think he's top 10 in my book. Right outside it. I've really got to give it some thought.

It's a topic where there are so much variables in many cases, there are many rankings that make sense in some ways.

My top 10 might look controversial to some, but that's only because i put a lot of emphasis on the division a fighter has competed in; looking purely at raw skill, every division below and probably including nowadays welterweight is insanely stacked, but above 170, the overall skill level starts to significantly decrease imo.
It's also not just about how many fighters are in a division, but also that generally, small guys are primed to become more technical since they can practically never rely on physicality in sparring; 125 hasn't the talent pool 155 has, but you'd be hard-pressed to find a 125er who doesn't have a very decent understanding of and ability to execute the basics of all of MMA.

I'll give more insight later into my thought process/rankings, i'm busy rn.

Crazy moment, thanks for the gif. It's interesting how people are saying they didn't think he would beat Dillashaw because I was honestly more worried about the Mizugaki fight. He had been laid off for 3 or 4 years I think, and not that Mizugaki was ever a world beater, but he was for sure a tough dude and on a little streak at the time. He was tough enough that I remember either Dana or Rogan saying something after the fight like "Nobody does that to Mizugaki.." I just had a bad feeling that Cruz would come in and out of prime from the list of serious injuries and he OBLITERATED this guy in 1 minute.

That's an overlooked period of MMA that hopefully people will reflect on a few years from now. I've posted about it before, can't remember what the span of events was, but roughly 2013-2016 there was a serious old guard resurgence and some big comebacks. Cruz is a perfect example. It was a fun time.
