China, Indonesia, Korea, Mexico, Philippines, Polynesia, Taiwan, Vietnam, two cantons in Switzerland.

Here's my thing; I love my dog, a vizsla. I couldn't imagine there are people that eat dogs. But my grandmother is a proud Hindu woman who can't fathom how we here in the US raise cows for slaughter since cows are revered animals in India.

Is it relative or is it really messed up to eat dogs ?

I think dogs are different than fish or chicken or cows; they are highly intelligent and capable of love. My dog is a member of my family, I love her and protect her. I think it's fair to see dogs as more than other animals.

That was one of the reasons why I don't eat pigs because of their high intelligence.

I still eat chicken and beef though so I do sound hypocritical. I do wish someday I could take them both out from the list but do suffer migraines the times I did go without meat for a few days
