Dog ate chocolate.

Glad the dog is okay. Eat a chocolate bar to celebrate!

I'd have put mine on reduced priveleges for a few hours. Maybe make her sit in a corner for a few minutes while I say "Bad Dog" unconvincingly. I worry about bones. My Dog has a steady diet of Varmints that doesn't concern Me at all, but when She snatches a Buffalo Wing, I'm sure it's gonna kill Her everytime.

It's a good lookin Pup Sherbro, glad She's okay.

This is going to be ironic but

Does anyone remember the Bunnicula books as a kid where the dog character loves chocolate and is a specific breed that can eat it? I think this dog(at least the old design) looks a bit similar to TSs dog. Does anyone know the breed I'm talking about? Am I tripping for thinking they look similar? Maybe is a mix with this breed?

my dog could eat 2900 30g packets before needing to see a vet.

I have a 1 year old mutt a doodle, Lucy.
Sweet girl.

11 year old daughter snuck some birthday party gift bag of a few mini chocolates and a lollipop to her bedroom.

Looks like the dog got a hersheys dark, a krackle and a lollipop.

Having watched Louis CKs bit on his dog eating chocolate, I knew what to do.

It was unfortunate to see how useless my wife is in a crisis. She just panics, freaks out, over reacts and makes bad decisions.
I love the woman.
But she sucks in a crisis.

Wife insisted on taking the dog to vet (which is fine, but I know I would have been a million times more calm handling the situation.)

Dog puked in my truck on the way to vet.
(So hydrogen peroxide I gave the dog did its job)

Vet says she should be fine since she got everything out of her system quickly.

Anyone want to take a guess what a trip to the vet at almost midnight on Saturday is gonna run me?

I think it was $900 around 20 years ago when my golden mutt Layla ate a Christmas ornament. But she needed x-rays. This visit was theoretically much more routine.

My stupid greedy greyhound has eaten chocolate a couple of times, and I'm not even sure it was ever sick over it - although I think he might have a titanium stomach considering the weird shit he always wants to try and eat.

Sometimes, with a family, accidents happen.

Glad yours is okay!

My dog eats chocolate all the time and he’s in good shape. He’s smart enough to know what he can and can’t eat.

Might want to leave em outside for the eventual explosive diarrhea that ensues.

If you think chocolate is bad, you should see what happens when a great dane eats a 72oz tub of Vaseline.

If you google vetrinary poison control you can find someone to call that's specialized in how bad the situation is.

My friends dog ate a bag of "candy melts" which is basically just pucks of sugary vegatable oil. The volume, frequency, and consistency of the fluids erupting from that dog were mind boggling. 16 oz of oil translates to about 36 gallons of puke and what I think would be best described as extra chunky diarrhea

Ours dug up a rabbit nest yesterday, ate a baby bunny whole, and now he has mudbutt.
