Thanks for agreeing, BigVehicleI agree, dick cheese burger.
Jesus that finish looked fake as fuck.Shamrock was getting schooled by Horn until that BS kneebar giveaway. I swear to this day that was a fixed ending; and I am a devout Frank Juarez fan!!

I rewatched this fight a few months ago, the first time I saw it since the nineties, and I had no memory of how big Horn was! He was fighting in the HW division after this! So, yeah, I'm not surprised to see Frank struggle with a naturally bigger grappler. It was a little odd. I recall that Shamrock didn't have many answers for Horn's grappling. Horn was just tenacious and had great control and transitions. That submission just manifested out of nowhere. Definitely odd. Should add, though, that Horn has lost quite a few via submission throughout his career. Nonetheless, I always found his grappling highly impressive, most of the time.

I'll have to get my old UFC 17 VHS out from my spare room where lots of my old stuff is stored, the only thing I remember from UFC 17 was it was one of the events the mighty Andre The Chief Roberts fought in and destroyed his opponent, probably the best debut ever in UFC history, awesome seeing 400 Ibs of the chief and the only American fighter to ever fight in UFC history. Amazing event, will have to get it out to find the Shamrock fight.checking my plex server 'my' dvd rip of UFC 17 didn't include the fight either and was sourced elsewhere.

Hate to break it to ya but the Andre Roberts fight is NOT on the VHS or DVD, either, as well as Chuck's ufc debut against Noe Hernandez or the aforementioned Shamrock/Horn fight - which was taped to be used for a future event.I'll have to get my old UFC 17 VHS out from my spare room where lots of my old stuff is stored, the only thing I remember from UFC 17 was it was one of the events the mighty Andre The Chief Roberts fought in and destroyed his opponent, probably the best debut ever in UFC history, awesome seeing 400 Ibs of the chief and the only American fighter to ever fight in UFC history. I have UFC 1-22 on VHS, and Ultimate Ultimate 1995 and 1996, Ultimate Brazil, Ultimate Japan, Ultimate Night of Champions all on VHS and then 23-29 was underground and banned and impossible to watch, but then UFC 30-onwards it was back on VHS and then DVD
Main thing about horn that always impressed me was his composure when getting hit. Even in bad situations, he always stayed calm. The chuck and marquardt fight mainlyIt was a little odd. Also here's a clip of Horn talking about about it:
