Does this look like I'm developing cauliflower ear?

I had a similar one a few years ago. A family friend who is a retired ear/nose/throat doctor said to not bother with draining because it was not noticeable. Just put ice wrapped in a cloth on it frequently throughout the day and roll with headgear until it settles down. (His actual advice was to stop rolling for a month or two, but that's crazy talk).
Eventually it did harden but no one can tell looking at me, it just hurts like hell in the cold.

My left ear looks exactly like your pic. This week I trained back to back nights, Monday and Tuesday and on Monday my ear took a beating. Hurt like hell to train on Tuesday. Hot and super sensitive to the pain the last few days. I've been training for 4 years and my ear isn't too bad, but I usually try to take it easy when it starts to really hurt. I'll train tomorrow morning to get my third day in this week, but then I'll have 4 days to let it rest again.

Make sure to drain your ear's immediately if any fluid builds up. I recommend wearing head gear in the meantime. Unfortunately, I did not drain mine and they calcified since I waited too long to drain them.

nice dumplings :D

Wear headgear, keep training. I had a similar spot back in the day, drained it myself, but didn't get much fluid and honestly it probably did not help. That spot thickened up when it healed, but it's not noticeable. Just wear headgear wen you have tenderness, take it off when you don't. And don't pull out of headlocks and guillotines, use technique.
