Does the UFC hate Magomed Ankalaev?

I hope he quits the ufc and goes to PFL or some other org. Also hope Ank breaches his contract and the other org still pays him and the UFC never gets anything from it. Fuck'em slimy bastards.

Ankalaev is not good looking, his style is boring, and he barely speaks English.

Plainly and simply, he is not a marketable item.

The UFC wants handsome/pretty fighters, who finish (either with strikes or by subs), who are charismatic and marketable.

Ankalaev is none of these things.

That's why nobody cares.

It's not "hate", it's simply that the guy is not good for business. He is very good, but also often quite boring, quiet, doesn't speak English... he simply does not make sense for the company to promote.

You always knew they would keep him far away from Pereira. Plus Dana seems to think he's boring.

He's THE one that makes sense for the company to promote, since he's the one that struggles to do it himself.
(This wrongly assuming that the UFC has any interest in actually putting in the work to promote fighters).

They hate anyone who speaks up against them in any kind of negative manner. So I'm not surprised.

Guy was obviously emotional after the fight, and didn't quite understand how the judges are picked (he apparently genuinely believed the UFC hired them), and his frustration for doing what he (and many others thought) was enough to win and not getting the nod clearly tipped him over the edge.

That said, I think he deserves a shot at the title soon and should probably be in the discussion for fighting Jamahal imo.

Dude was the star of one of the most unprofessional and unsportsman like episodes to ever grace the UFC.
He did get a title shot, with UFCs full backing right ti the end. Unfortunately it was against Jan who is a much better striker and loves to get in the way of UFCs plans.

The narratives that some of you spin up are entertaining though. Mine is that it is highly likely that his legs needed reconstruction after being destroyed by Jan. Jan just keeps taking those legs, he did to Adesanya, Rakic and Ank.

Don't know don't care. Maybe one of the most overrated fighters in the UFC. Overrated grappling and top control, zero sub threat. He fought to a draw with a Jan who noticeably had slowed down in the last year when it was originally a three round fight and Jan would have won under those circumstances and only got him down once 40 year old Jan was gassed badly after the 3 rounds he had been preparing for . He can't mix his wrestling and striking up at all and his fight iq sucks. Deciding to stand against Jan and Santos for extended periods of time and almost getting finished in both while deciding to grapple the grappling specialist Paul Craig who provides zero threat on the feet <45>. I hope he stays and fights Hill/Jiri for the title though and is the favourite so I can bet on the underdogs and if he gets past them which he could because LHW is shit then I hope Jailton goes down to 205 and teaches him how Dagestani handcuffs work
