So with Bones, a fighter that Anderson is close to and said he wouldn't fight, being out for possibly an extended period of time, do you think Anderson stays at 205 after this? I mean he's not getting any younger and IMO his quickness would benefit him more a division up. Looking at the 205 rankings, I think he'd do really well and if he beats Cormier at 200, why not rematch it for the actual title @ MGS?

My thoughts on Spider against the top 10

Champ - Cormier: I expect Anderson to get ragdolled but there's that slight possibility he can land some sneaky stuff and KO him

1 - Anthony Johnson: I'd pick Rumble, but wouldn't be surprised if Spider countered him all night
2 - Glover: Winnable fight
3 - Gus: Winnable fight
and I'd pick him against any one else in the top 10 or at least say he'd be the favorite against:
Bader, OSP, Rua, Evans, Manuwa, Lil Nog

Thoughts?

I think he loses to a lot of those guys right now

If he beats DC, maybe. However he's getting a MW title shot if he beats DC, so I really don't see him staying at LW either way.

Anderson used to have the best chin In the UFC... Together with his reactiontime that was his best skill. Weidman dropped him with shots he wouldnt flinch at In his prime. Everyone agrees that Andersons reactiontime is gone, And so is his chin.

Fighting at 205 is not a good idea with a weak chin. A prime Anderson would probably do great, but not the Anderson that fought Bisping, Weidman And Diaz.

The Anderson that fought Bisping nearly took Bispings head off and won the fight. Bisping also KO'd Luke right after, so him dropping Silva (who in my opinion underestimated Bisping) isn't that bad of an indication his chin is done. Weidman KO'd him clowning, and he outboxed Diaz. Spiders chin is nowhere near Chuck/Wand over the hill levels at this point and again I'd pick him against most of the top 10 in that division

He's not won a fight since UFC 153, his last win at MW was against Chael Sonnen.

Let's not get too excited just yet.

Definitely get what you're saying but it's not like hes been getting knocked out and destroyed consistently since then. He had a terrible injury he was recovering from and then had the suspension the majority of the time so its different then a lot of guys fighting passed their welcome. He's still dangerous against anyone IMO in either division

Anderson has always been clowning, and he was always hit a lot, but never seemed too get rocked at all. Now suddenly he was dropped by much weaker shots than he used to handle. He might not have declined as much as some other guys, but fighting bigger men when your chin is weakening is not a good idea IMO. Would be fun to see him do his magic again, but it is very unlikely.
