Does Rockhold REALLY deserve an immediate rematch???

Couldn't find a thread dedicated to this discussion. I think Luke is for sure the most talented guy in the division, but he is pushing for that rematch. How has he earned it? He couldnt defend his belt once and was ko'ed stiff in one lol . I love the guy but he will need to win 2 at least before getting that shot.

Luke vs. Vitor should def be the next fight.

Bisping vs. Jacare at UFC 202 nd now you do Weidman vs. Romero if he's eligible.

I don't see why he should get a rematch just because Ping was a late replacement and we all think 'he shoulda won'. He was KO'd senseless.

Whoever is the next contender should get Bisping. Although I think Bisping should probably retire, a title run isn't exactly what his body needs at this point methinks. He won't though.

But he accepted a different opponent on short notice, and let's face it, everyone knows Bisping got very lucky...

Now, the 2 of them have already set up a total shit storm in the aftermath and there will almost certainly be a rematch next.

If it had been a real close fight then I could see it but otherwise no. Jacare should be first in line now. Anderson was the only one who deserved a rematch in recent memory and that's simply by virtue of his being champ for so long.

Nope. I think he's a great fighter, one of the best in the division. But he really goofed up- he didn't make a single title defense, and he lost to a guy he'd normally beat 9/10 times.

Nobody that loses the title on their first defence and by ko should get an immediate rematch. Luke's a great fighter and he'll be back but he lost in the first round .

I wouldn't mind if it was Weidman next because after all that should have been his fight ( although again he shouldn't have recieved the rematch in the first place) .

Jacare or Weidman but not Luke.
Which ever doesn't get the shot should fight Luke or Romero when he returns in a number one contenders fight .
