Can Mark Hunt make another title run? I believe a win over Mir puts him right there with the winner of Cain vs Browne. Imagine if Stipe can dethrone Werdum? It would be an epic rematch for the belt!

Well he dropped the current champ when he fought him in that super high altitude on no notice.

The Stipe fight was bad but if he keeps rocking up in shape and avoids getting subbed by Mir I wouldn't be suprised. Although I doubt they will ever let him fight Stipe again.

It would be epic but lets be real. With Hunt's age and mileage it's not likely, if he could stay healthy and get into better shape it would help. The man can still win out there and I hope he can string a few wins together before he retires.

He's like an mma Bernard Hopkins, dude is Samoan strong and has courage like no other.

He has a punchers chance anytime he fights, one punch from Hunt can change everything

Yes, and don't listen to anybody who tells you different.

Mark is a little too unidimensional and is always the shorter fighter to become a HW champion at this point. I wouldn't be surprised if Mir beats him in the boxing match and controls him on the ground.

I really think Hunt just missed his shot by a Hair. Broke his toe vs JDS, then did amazingly well vs Werdum despite cutting a ton of weight on short notice and fighting at high altitude. But I just think he's too old now, too many miles on him.
I'm still amazed how good he got at stuffing take downs and getting back to his feet. If he would have gotten into MMA a few years earlier I think he would have been champ.

This is a fun fight with little to no title implications. Both are equally past their prime.

Maybe, but it's unlikely, he still has some fun fights left in him for sure though.

nope but he can still whupp ass. and put on some good fights. Mir likes to test himself and his striking so if he makes a small mistake against Hunt it will end badly for him. but i see more ways Hunt can get stopped by Mir.

Hunto was smashing the current title-holder coming in off short-ass notice to fight at high-ass altitude until he got caught.

Heck yeah he can be champion.
