I think hw Jon Jones wins but I’m not sure. Young jones was fast and mean. Either way interesting to think when Jon’s prime was/is/will be.

i think both versions of Jon wins, but he might struggle a bit. Cain and JDS are pretty tough in their prime, but Jones gets the job done

I think people discredit Jones because they dislike him for the stuff he has done outside the cage. I read in a thread before the Jones-Gane fight, someone wrote Jones is an average fighter with long reach which is why he wins fights. Lol

2011 Jones is physically better but 2023 Jones has more experience and has a genius level fighter IQ and like @Cartiac said he knows everything about 2011 Jon. Even if we take the last bit out that 12 years of experience is probably key.

Maybe 2011 Jones has a chance if 2023 Jones is fat?

So with that caveat I agree the experience is a huge factor. I don't think damage is going to make much difference though. Jones hasn't really taken a lot of significant damage across his career, certainly nothing that we've seen have a lasting effect on performance. Size and strength still go to HW Jones obviously. I still see it handily in HW Jones' favor even without the omniscient hindsight.

I think any version of Jones gets mauled by either of them in 2011. Jones didn't have the power to stop Cain or the boxing to take Junior out.

The old Jones clearly beats the piss out of the plodding Rampage cosplay that submitted Gane though.

That is what would make it so exciting. Old Jones ain't about to be a pussy and do any favors for young Jones. Jones is such a savage his old self would likely trash talk and beat his young self so badly his entire career never happens.
