Does GSP feel like an anomaly among the GOAT list?

I’m not a GSP fan ….but I have him number 2 all time …..if you don’t think GSP had an unbeatable aura you weren’t watch back then …..he went like 10 championship fights without losing a fucking round ….I’ll admit I’m an Anderson fan …which has put me at war with GSP fans for a decade…..but as a huge fan of the sport when someone retires I take an unbiased look at their career and attempt to give the credit that’s due …..Gsp was great …even though I didn’t enjoy his fighting style

Two losses in prime is still two losses in prime. Nobody can say Prime GSP would beat anybody, since we already know how he can be beaten. He's human, he's defeatable, the best version of GSP can be figured out and destroyed.

There's a difference between can be beaten and has been beaten. GSP WAS beaten. Not by a lucky shot either, just beaten. Outclassed. It takes away from the mystique and the idea of a fighter that at his peak was on a different level from others.

That's also the reason why Ngannou can never have that GOAT aura.

Okay so we're clear anderson and jose never had goat aura either.

He doesn't have a long undefeated streak. He got beat several times in his prime, including an embarassing tapping to strikes. There's no aura of the unbeatable GSP, like there's one for Fedor, Khabib, Silva and Jones. Or even Aldo to a lesser extent.

So it's just weird for me to see GSP's name included in the GOAT lists so often. Discuss.
