Does GSP feel like an anomaly among the GOAT list?

Dominant? Let's not get ahead of our selves. His game was jab, jab, superman punch, takedown, dry hump, and pitter patter punches. After he got embarrassed by Serra all he did was fight safe. Great champ? Ya but in a very boring way. Literally one of the most boring fighters ever after he tapped to strikes from a tubby 5ft 6" guy. But hey good for him made bank and is now very rich, can't knock that. You also can't knock that he was boring af.

I was always waiting for him to go to that "Dark Place" and never did. Big let down.
Reading comprehension is not a strong suit with you is it? Look at the post you replied to. It clearly says avenged his losses in dominant fashion. He fought the two guys that beat him a total of 3 times afterwards. He got 3 finishes. I guess you have a different definition of dominant than everybody else.

Well done.

He never avenged the Hendricks fight. Instead of a rematch of a split decision that an overwhelming majority of people thought he lost, GSP chose to vacate the belt at age 32 and never fight again, except a one-off against a 38-year-old with one eye who, in his most recent fight, was dropped multiple times by a 46-year-old.

Hendricks landed much bigger shots that turned GSP's face into hamburger meat. He also racked up more control time than GSP in 4 out of 5 rounds. To try to argue that GSP won that fight you have to put extreme value on point-fighting, but even that is difficult to do because Hendricks actually landed more strikes than GSP in 4 out of 5 rounds, and outlanded him in total strikes 142-125.

Does BrockLesnarsTurtleBack feel like an anomaly among good Sherdog posters?

Two losses in prime is still two losses in prime. Nobody can say Prime GSP would beat anybody, since we already know how he can be beaten. He's human, he's defeatable, the best version of GSP can be figured out and destroyed.
One loss was well before his prime and to a vastly more experienced and GOAT at the time. He was even winning the round before getting caught, again, from inexperience. He then handed Hughes his ass twice after. Serra loss was brutal, no doubt about it, but I'd argue that still wasn't prime, prime isn't just aboit age. He also pushed Serra shit in the next time so its whatever. No one else figured out how to beat him for years after, so that was his prime

His best win is Jon Fitch. 'Nuff said.

2022 join date blessing us with the noob side of the force :D

The version of GSP that lost to Serra wasn't the best version of him lol. And there's shame in losing to Matt Hughes? Noob or troll, pick one to describe yourself

I don't think it's the losses or lack of win streak. He's a dominant champ like Anderson and Jones. Avenged the losses and had like 10 title fight wins to show the level.

The difference is lack of finishes compared to Anderson, Jones and Fedor. Almost complete lack during his title reign.

a 13 fight streak, which includes 9 title defenses against only the best contenders WW had to offer, somehow isnt a good streak?

Wut have you been smoking OP?

I don't say stuff like this often, but you deserve to get IP banned.

This is either the dumbest take on sherdog or the worst troll job I've ever seen.

There's no aura of the unbeatable GSP, like there's one for Fedor, Khabib, Silva and Jones. Or even Aldo to a lesser extent.

There definitely was that aura for GSP for quite some time. It's strange how people try to re-write history without actually witnessing it.

And lol at Khabib's "aura". There were basically two fights as a champion where he was a significant favorite. The person on the list who doesn't belong there would be Khabib. Hell, he pulled out of far more fights than he had title defenses.

Anderson getting KO'd while taunting Weidman is WAYYY more embarrassing than GSP tapping to strikes to Serra. Anyone can get caught but Anderson was being an absolute clown in what was one of the most embarrassing performances in mma history IMHO.

Not even a GSP fan but this thread and TS' life are jokes. Ban worthy

two very embarrassing losses. but he avenged them, and remained otherwise unbeaten. Since Jones roided and disqualified himself, he's the current GOAT i think.

kamaru usman will soon pass over GSP though, if he gets past khamzat.
Omg new fans are fucking awful …..Goat this and goat that …..always wanting to label guys from their era the goat ….like it makes them part of history
