The first time I watched this, I thought there was something very peculiar about the guy with the beard sitting at the table. He had the strangest expression on his face.
You have to watch this film from beginning to end to capture the all peculiar NPC expressions & subtleties. If you look at everyone's face in different scenes, you can see how ridiculous they look.
Check it out!

I love cronenberg movies, the bizarreness alone always warrants a watch. I haven't seen existenz in a few years, but it's probably time for a rewatch.

Existenz is one of the most unique experiences I've had watching a movie. Im gonna say at least half of it, maybe even 2/3rds, I was just completely not into it. Then somehow the last portion pulled it all together and everything made sense. Its probably the best example I can think of as far as watching a movie i dislike the longest before it becomes a movie I liked.

Man, I haven't watched Existenz in a good long while, missed out on buying the new UHD from Vinegar Syndrome last year.

The waiter in the scene even looks off compared to the two real people, I don't know if that's intentional or not, but he looks fake.
