If nothing else, Conor is the GOAT at self marketing to ever be in the fight game. People can dispute his fighting skills or BJJ skill etc., but they can't dispute his self promotion skills and intelligence. At some point, Conor went from being another UFC fighter to realizing he can make a shit load of money as an Irish UFC fighter. Even from his very first fight in the UFC, there was an unusual hype behind him. What I'm wondering about is now that Conor is the "money fight" and he's taking money fights only, what's it going to take for him to walk away? He's not going to fight until he's punch drunk, that's pretty much guaranteed. Personally I think if he reaches $50m in career earnings, he's gone with the wind. My guess is he's just under $20m at the moment so that can mean 2-3 more fights. Of course this will all change if he puts together a win streak but there's too many killers out to get him and I don't see his next 3-4 fights going too well for him. Thoughts?

I think he will bail once he losses a couple. Once conor wins his ego keeps getting bigger and bigger so he will find his losses, he doesnt seem like somone content at staying where they are at. I dont think he has a money figure to quit on.

I think he's making closer to $15+ million a fight now.. Especially after Nate. Rogan went on air saying Dana said Aldo made $5 million for their fight and Conor had a better contract then Aldo. Dana said Conor will be the first UFC athlete to crack $100 million so we'll see. I wish we saw more concrete numbers. I think Mcgregor will retire if/when he sees the decline. Doesn't seem like a guy to stick around if he's getting knocked around. It's get in quick, make the biggest fights possible, get out. At the volume at which he's choosing to fight, he may call it quits within 2 years. If he's not slicing through competitors, I doubt we see him stick around for long. He may decide after this year to be more selective maybe only fighting 1 or 2 times a year in an effort to not burn-out and/or protect his body to fight over a longer period of time but we shall see.. It's 2015, I would be surprised to see Conor fighting in 2020. I would be very surprised if he retires with under $100,000,000 in earnings

If he losses next he will go in 3/4 fights and done,if he gets 1-2 wins in the next fights he would another 6/8 ,18-24months maximum 12months minimum,
Would be my guess.

He was on tv here in Ireland just after the Holloway fight talking about how it's his dream to be a millionaire. Then just recently before the Diaz fight, he was talking about how he wants to be the first fighter to earn 100 million. So he probably will just keep upping the stakes. The fact that he pulled out of that Vin Diesel movie to train for his next fight would lead me to think that he wants to fight above all else. You just have to look at how active he is. He's had six fights in the last 20 months.

If he gets subbed again his stock should go down significantly.

If he wants to live like this...

Conor loves the fight game, I don't see him quitting any time soon.

if he isn't making millions p/fight. He already has FU money. The way I see it, if he loses to Diaz and then loses his title, it's over. Same goes for Diaz now. If he loses to Conor or gets beatdown by a smothering wrestler again, he'll retire too.
