Whether it's steroid or just another banned weight cutting substance or anything other. as usual USADA didn't say anything much than their usual statement
From what I gathered from Bloody Elbow It's that he failed for a banned substance which can be anything from a wide margin of products.

I am not defending Mendes or anything but by disclosing the name of the Failed stuff in initial statement just brings more clarity in the entire procedure

Inb4 it's the dangerous DHEA that is sold in ur local Walgreens.

Probably 500mg Ibuprofen or something equally stupid.

What makes USADA testing in UFC & other US Organizations a joke is the fact that NFL, MLB, NHL, NBA, MLS); state athletic federations (boxing, UFC); as well as the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) are not signatories of the WADA Code, Thus there is no information about the protocol USADA follows for testing . Then UFC can exempt any one which means they can influence the testing procedure.

And also there are only 2 WADA accredited labs in USA. the UCLA Olympic Analytical Laboratory in Los Angeles, CA., and the Sports Medicine Research and Testing Laboratory (SMRTL) in Salt Lake City, Utah. And don't expect every single sample collected by USADA are going to be tested in these laboratories.

And thus don't stay under the illusion that USADA testing is bringing transparency & helping to clean out this sport.

His NaCl was drastically elevated following the loss to Conor.
