Does Anyone Have Any Nice Watches?

I don't wear watches anymore, I also don't wear any accessories.

My favorite watch is still an old Seiko kinetic that I was gifted like 20 years ago. Why don't you like the G-Shock? I was thinking of getting one for gym, walks, etc.
I loved my kinetic but it only lasted a couple of years. I bought one of the first models so maybe I should have waited for the kinks to get worked out. Great looking watch, though.

Man I absolutely love the look and feel of it. I'm pretty sure you can just get the capacitor replaced if it stops working too. Do you still have it or any pics of it?

Very interesting set. Can you show your others?
I can try to get a picture of some more later.

A bunch of them are random vintage mechanical watches that I picked up over the years. That market is shit now sadly.

Also, some G-Shocks and the like. I have one of the Japanese "Fox Fire" G-Shocks that I dig. This isn't mine but it's the picture from the listing where I bought it.

Oh yeah, it's home in my desk. It's a beautiful watch but it's probably 25 years old.

The Casio watch is very finicky with the Casio website when pairing it with the cellphone for updates. I have to keep unpairing and then pairing it again over and over and often times it still won't work with the website. The heart rate monitor is extremely inaccurate at times too. I'll be on the treadmill at the gym and the treadmill will read my pulse at 110 or so when I'm walking and the Casio has it well over 200 in which case my heart would likely blow out of my chest. It has a lot of functions I have no use for as well like world time, almanac, altimeter, barometer, etc. I pretty much only use it to keep track of steps which it has been pretty good at.

I'm starting to really appreciate the size and simplicity of some older style watches honestly. I think an old King Seiko Hi Beat might be in my future, something like this:

I have an Old King Seiko Hi Beat. I have some Seiko Lordmatics too, if King and Grand were the executive class watches back then, Lordmatics were the ambitious middle managers watch.

Everyone makes fun of me for it but this is by far the highest quality watch I've ever owned.

nothing that expensive… a Tag, a few Tissots a few Citizen eco-drives and a Bulova

Watches look good they are nice things, also the symbolic of your time being worth something. But they are definitely uncomfortable to me. They serve no purpose, time is on the phone. They just don´t feel good to wear and have on the arm. Besides being pointless. They are a nice to look at piece of esthetics. Also art. But I totally don´t wanna have them on my arm I can feel it. I got 2 cheap watches, Lacoste and Versus Versace, both under 200, not interessted in more. Just not fun to wear. Visually yes, feel wise no.

Never understood buying any watch over 1k. And no, I’m not poor

looks expensive. What you do for work Travis ? Or is this from some moment when you had extra cash and splurged.
I have a bit of a luxury goods addiction lol. Although that watch has gone up a lot from when I first bought it so it’s a cool little investment I can wear.

As for work I used to be in the luxury rehab space (drug and alcohol treatment). Myself and my partners owned 6 facilities in southern CA and one in Austin TX. I was bought out of it earlier this year.

I also am an equity partner in a big online gambling company which is my main focus for the past 4 years. We have full sportsbook, 8,000+ slots, plus live table games (blackjack, baccarat etc etc).
