With the announcement that he will be out another 4-6 months due to back surgery, my gut is telling me that the man will never step foot in the octagon.

What do you guys think?

I saw that on the front page. I didn't really give a shit if he fought or not to be honest but with this latest news (if true) I doubt he will.

I think he geniunly intends to fight, but who knows how recovery from the back surgery will be. He retired from WWE citing injuries. Training for this sport probably won't treat him any better.

I hope he fades away. Had no idea who he was before his name popped up on 10 threads a day.

Don't even care anymore. Beforehand I wanted to see the guy get beat down. Now I've lost all interest in even seeing that.

I never thought he'd actually fight. After the first year went by without a match made, then almost an entire second year? Just a giant publicity stunt. Sucks for Mickey but at least people know who he is now and he did get a spot on the UFC roster with only two fights.

Silver Lining?

Not a chance, I've been saying this since day 1, it's nothing more then a really sad publicity stunt

This, never thought he'd step inside the octagon. I think he's realizing what he got himself into and wants no part of it.

Phil Brooks is not someone I care about one way or another.

Hope that Mickey kid gets a contract still from Dana and Co he is a decent prospect.

Ugh, that sucks. I wanted to see him fight solely because he got put in the spotlight and UFC told everyone he was going to. Not fighting at this point would be much more humiliation than him just fighting and getting beatdown. In fact, just in general if you say you're going to fight and don't you face scrutiny. You said you would, a lot of people believed it.... You gotta do it at least once.

This, all day. The moment he signed was the moment I thought he would never fight.

Has no real athletic experience. It's no better than if I said I was going to fight. Too many variables. I believe it is absolutely ridiculous to think that he could compete against a high level fighter. I'd be willing to bet if he ever fights Micky Gall he's going to lose in about 30 seconds by KO. I have no doubt.

If he does not ever fight. That pretty much puts him at or near the top of my all time Bitch list.

My immediate first thought when I saw the article headline about his injury was "welp... I guess he's not going to fight."

I never gave him a chance to fight at all. Well, maybe one fight and that's it but other than that nope. His signing is just to probably bring in the WWE fans to the sport again. lol.

No
I also thinks it's annoying that on Saturday he's taking about the fight and hyping it but on Tuesday/Wednesday he's announcing surgery. He knew on Saturday during the interview his back was messed up.

I started to get the feeling that CM Punk would never fight in December of 2014.

......meanwhile, Scott Jorgensen, who, while not having a great record in the octagon but will fucking fight anyone, gets his walking papers.

He's an old man. What does he have to prove?
