We’ve already seen these guys fight twice. Both are at the end of their careers, max coming off a bad KO loss. If Dustin loses he’s going to retire. We already know Dustin had a physical advantage over max Holloway. Does anyone really care to watch two over the hill guys fight for a 3rd time?

Their first fight was a million years ago, the majority of people never even saw the first one. "Physical advantages" - I think these are the same physical advantages people thought would matter when Gaethje fought Max. Max was a FW fighting a LW in their last fight.

I don't like it one bit. I disagree about Max being at the end of his career though. I know he's been doing it a long time but he still has a few years left being 33. Max can still be viable at lightweight imo. There's some really interesting matchups for him, Topuria is just a monster.

I don't care to see it again but Dustin is a stud and it's the fight he wanted so fair play to him.

Also ufc is dying.

It's a great fight

Absolutely perfect matchmaking for Dustin's last fight.

Max has gotten better and filled into his frame more since their last fight and he's coming off a dominant victory over Gaethje.

Both guys have ways to win, but Max likely has the advantage at this point, this is probably the sharpest he's been in his career.

Max vs Gaethje was amazing, you know this one is gonna be a banger.

People acting like they don't care to see it are nuts..

no

I lost all respect for Holloway when he threw away his legacy. He would have had the best lagacy of any fighter ever if he had walked away after the Gaethje fight.

Lowest IQ move in mma history. I have no interest in watching him fight now.

Ehh, I'm low key sort of happy for it, might get tickets and watch it live even. Max is sort of far away from a LW title shot and has to keep busy, gives him a chance to avenge his Dustin losses. Dustin is irrelevant to the division considering he's retiring and he can do it in his hometown. Doesn't effect the division really, should be a fun fight. Hoping Dustin drops off rankings and LW ranks will heal.

zero interest. zero. seen them twice already and both old AF. there have to be more interesting matchups than this.

No one really wants it, not even Dustin did, he wanted Topuria or the Gaethje trilogy.

I suppose it's poetic though, Dustin being Max's first UFC opponent and Max being Dustin's last.

Already been similar threads made but I wouldn't mind seeing Holloway do Poirier like he did Justin.

I’ll watch it (for free) but won’t be happy about it.

You lost respect because he didn't retire after beating Gaethje, in a fight where he looked more impressive than he ever has?

I said it a few days ago.

Why do a trilogy, and retirement fight for Dustin. When the score is 2-0 for Dustin? The first fight was a million years ago, but still true.

I would have preferred a different fight. A new matchup. I don’t even have a name to suggest. But 8 of the top 15, have never really been given the opportunity to move up.

So like the past SEVERAL years. Two top 5 LW fighters are fighting eachother. Ergo..

The loser almost NEVER drops out of the top five. Though this fight should knock one of them out of the top 5.

That’s why the young up and comers don’t really get opportunities to advance to the top 5.

So many top 5 fighters in the UFC sit around in a maelstrom of horse shit. Expecting to get TS, after TS, etc..

The UFC is fucking most of this shit up these days.

Yes, two elite fighters, and crowd favs. But I really would have preferred a different fight.

Just my opinion..

If Tito/Chuck showed us anything...eventually Max will win.
