Does anyone care about McGregor vs Diaz III anymore?

I hear a lot of analysts, most notably on the MMA Beat, say McGregor - Diaz is the biggest fight the UFC can make at the moment. I can't help but feel after the length of inactivity from both men that this rivalry has fizzled out, and people would much rather see McGregor defend a title. The run that T Ferg has been on, coupled with Khabib's comeback (for now) gives Conor two worthy challengers without the need for this time wasting with Nate. Is there anyone who actually wants to see the trilogy or, like me, would you prefer to see him defend a god damn belt?

Not gonna lie, after the weekend I forgot Nate even existed.

Nate Diaz shouldn't even be mentioned when Tony Ferguson and Khabib Nurmagomedov walk this earth.

in b4 a bunch of people say 'No'

in way b4 it happens someday and does a gigantic number of PPVs just like the first 2

I'm just sick of hearing about who Conor might or might not be fighting next.

Sick of hearing about Tony vs Khabib too. When they book it (again) then let's talk about it (again).

I agree.
If Conor manages to defeat both Tony and Khabib, and Nate gets at least one impressive win in the meantime, then I’m behind Nate/Conor 3.
Anything other than that is bullshit IMO.

Do you not think that's just the Conor effect though? I think they'd sell a shit load of PPV's no matter who he fights.

Honestly there is unfinished business and I think the fight is still important but the ship had sailed the second they did the floyd fight. They could have justified it for the 155 title and only the hard cores would have complained but with how much the division has moved on in the past year and nates refusal to fight other contenders has made any hope of this fight happening close to zero.

Conor would have to run through Tony and Khabib first and then what? He's call out nate for the trilogy 12 months down the road? Surely a better fight will have manifested by then for conor , especially if he managed to beat both of those men first.

Sure don't. Conor needs to fuck off into the sunset.

I didn't care to see either. RDA screwed up a champion vs champion match we hadn't seen in years and both McGregor and Nate sidetracked it again to trade wins with a journeyman LW that can't check leg kicks.

Also Sherdog has never and will never be a reliable way to predict PPV sales. These degenerates don't spend money on MMA.

I think it's mostly Conor, also partly Diaz who is an above average draw, but my main point is that people will bitch & moan, but then still get excited whether they admit it or not once it's a reality, and will definitely watch.
